Prof. Hansman is one of the most inspirational people I have met. Taking his Adv. Freehand Dwg course changed the direction of my life and helped me connect with myself. He is a true artist - he shared his work and life journey, and he brought clarity to what a creative life can be. His own life and work with St. Louis communities is awe inspiring.

All aroud a good guy, but is completely crazy. Very difficult grader. If you're not an unbelievble artist there is no way you can get an A. Way too high of expectations for an intro level class. You have to have very tough skin to be able to tolerate his "constructive" criticism.

We had to do a lot of big, boring drawings. If you actually do all the work when he says to, you will be drawing every second of your life. Once you get behind in the class theres no coming back until you pull the all nighters right before they're all due.
