Jim is a great professor. While he is extremely unclear, it does allow you some freedom and provides the student the opportunity to think for themselves and not design to the professor. Laughed the most of any course I have ever been in. Enjoy this class while you have it.

If Jim communicated his project concepts at all, or premeditated what his assignments actually were, he could be a terrific teacher. Instead Jim developed each assignment as he assigned it. when we appeared with our solutions he had a preconcieved notion of the solution, not an open minded analysis.

I LOVE JIM! although it's really hard to understand him b/c he's never clear about his abstract ideas...but as looking back... he really helped me a lot shaping my architectural thoughts. plus he's realllllly funny.

Jim isn't very clear, but hopefully by the end of the year you will realize there is a reason for ambiguity. Jim is one of the best teachers I have ever had. His class is incredibly entertaining, and it will teach you to have thick skin. Watch your projects break, and learn to laugh about it.
