Bob's very passionate and knowledgeable about biology. This was the hardest course I've taken. If you take this course get a recorder for his lectures and don't miss any of his lectures. He makes his own test and the questions come from the class and not any book or study guide. Good guy, offers no help when you ask him how to succeed in his class.

Bob is a great professor. He teaches the material in a way that makes it less overwhelming. He is flexible, allowing you to attend one of his other lectures (or labs for credit) if you need to miss a day. He is soft spoken, so sit up front. You could definitely pass without purchasing the book as long as you didn't miss lecture.

If you skip his lectures then you won't do well on the test. He provides outlines and test questions for every topic THAT YOU HAVE TO STUDY. He's an amazing lecturer but if you can't follow along and take notes then you won't do well. Don't take this class if you're looking for a cake walk grade. His only grades are tests and lab participation.

The amount of information that's presented in this class may seem a bit heavy, but Dr. Henderson really makes it enjoyable and easy to remember, if you attend the lecture. Just remember to bring lots of colors of pens for mid semester and it'll look pretty too.

Bob is an amazing teacher who teaches strictly from the white board. He draws EVERYTHING and he's a great drawer but get ready to write everything he says down. His objectives correlate with the tests but you better know every single thing on them and how everything functions or you will not do well on the scantron tests. This is a very hard class

He does not assign any homework. No quizzes. He talks very soft and monotone. All there is is lecture and lab. His tests are worded very tricky. I would have rather has homework or assignments to retain the info. I'll never take him again or recommend him either. I have to retake the class.

Very lecture heavy. Gives a study guide so the book isn't really needed. He does not give quizzes, only exams. I found this difficult as there was nothing to judge how I was doing in the class until the grade counted. Henderson is VERY knowledgeable and is available for help if you need it.

I took this class in summer. If you participate every labs, you'll get 100% on lab and that point really helps you for overall. Even I don't understand English well, I got A. His lecture is very clear and he covers every test questions. I copied my lecture note to another notebook to organize, that helped me a lot getting A.

Bob is a great teacher and gives you everything you need to know for his exams. I got A's and B's on all of his exams, but exams do have A LOT of questions. The final was 164 questions. It is very draining taking that final. Other than that, he is good and passionate about biology.

Bob's class was VERY challenging! He covers A LOT of material per topic, he provides great diagrams, and A LOT of information during lectures, as well as an outline and questions to answer. Class requires a lot of studying!! Take CLEAR notes, be organized, DON'T MISS CLASS!! His tests are hard, be on time to class. Consider a tutor.

Bob is an amazing professor. His test are easy if you study for them. However, the hardest thing about the class was studying all the information. The good thing is everything covered in class was on the tests. Go to class and study the topics and you'll pass for sure. You have to discipline yourself to study a lot because it's not an easy A!

Bob is one of my favorite professors. He is easy going, really prepared, and is very entertaining. I love biology but even those who don't seem to really enjoy Bob's classes! He is not the toughest grader (he drops your lowest test score) but he isn't an easy A either!! My advice is show up to class, especially the labs, and the rest will be cake!

Great professor, tells you everything you need to know and provides thorough outlines. Didn't need the book or lab manual, the only grade are for exams and attendance (not graded on work in lab). Generous with grades, dropped an exam and a lab attendance score. Take lots of notes, refer to his outlines, and you're golden.

Professor Henderson is a very difficult professor. I am graduating and this class was the most difficult by far. He does give a pretty clear study guide but the questions he asks on his quizzes are confusing. A single question will include different concepts and having a few hundred terms and concepts thrown at us in a month period made this hard.

Bob is a great teacher, and really knows his stuff. This was by far the hardest class I've had so far but he makes you enjoy it because of how nice and knowledgable he is on the subject. Do not miss class, take notes and go to ALL labs!

He pretty clearly illustrates the path to succeed in his class and adheres to that. Very traditional lecture format while tests and attendance are the only grades. So, a little dry but he is endlessly knowledgeable and thorough with accessible office hours. If you're serious about learning the material for your career, take Henderson's class

Currently taking BIO 111(Fall 2014) and have a pretty solid B average without studying too hard or using the book. He gives you VERY detailed outlines for each topic he will cover. Just take detailed notes and if you can answer the outline learning points you'll do fine on the test(which are Scantron). I think labs should be extra lectures though.
