He wants you to be interested in his class, and I tried to be... but he literally would lecture for the entire three hour period. It was so painfully boring . He is relatively easy, 2 papers (one at midterm and one at finals), a short presentation that he basically tells you exactly what to say. and a final exam which he supposedly leaves for.

Ross is an amazing professor and i wish i could take him again! He is such a sweet and understanding guy. Don't take advantage of this guy, you are lucky to be looking him up right now because that means you're considering taking his class. STOP READING THIS AND GO GET INTO THAT CLASS BEFORE IT'S FULL! Seriously why are you still reading? GO!

Ross is a very sweet professor. He cares about his students and is passionate about his work. His lectures do drag, but he provides a lot of information on the readings in class so you can get a good feel of them without reading, and he will answer any questions you have. Not the most interesting class but it is easy to get a good grade.

His lectures are very boring and last the whole time. A couple of weeks of class were cancelled so that he could meet with you and talk about your essay. Very sweet and wants to to succeed in his class but you have to participate.

Very nice guy and cares about your grade. He will talk for the entire class period so don't expect to leave early. Holds personal meetings for every essay so you get to miss class for that week and hell tell you exactly what he wants you to change. If you don't hand stuff in or don't try hell get annoyed and it makes the class suck.

Although Professor Borden's lectures can sometimes drag, I highly suggest taking ENG373 with him. He assigns 2 papers the entire semester and is a very easy grader. You will give one presentation but he meets with you before and tells you everything to present. The only test he gives is the final and he gives an outline of how to prepare for it :)

Ross was a a nice teacher and one of my favorites. He actually cares about helping you and what he's doing. He can be distracted easy and rants so that can get boring. His readings are very long I suggest you print and annotate them. he can be very unclear on what he wants and his idea of revision is re writing a paper from scratch.

Hes is awful i will never ever take another class with this guy again. He dose not treat students with respect and all he does is criticize students work and does not help. Since it is mandatory to take a Writing Studies class i highly recommend not to chose this guy because he is terrible.

Worst class I ever took. He says one thing in class but his assignments have nothing to do with them. In a assignment it said to write about climate change but didn't specify on what to write about. I had no idea what to do.

Ross is a great guy who has an intense passion for his profession and wants his students to become better writers and to appreciate the books you read. Essay assignments are difficult and confusing and he usually rips apart your essay, but generally he gives you a good grade on the re-write. He basically explains the books in class.

This was one of the toughest classes of my life--analyzing photographs. The professor isn't really clear in what he wants ("full of fluff") and the text is extremely in-depth but also absolutely necessary to understand the concepts. It was very interesting, and I wish it was the only class I was taking. I didn't have enough time for it.

Ross is a really nice teacher. His class is super boring and the movies are mostly in black and white. The only assignments are three papers and he is super willing to help you. If you go to him for help and work hard you can definitely get an A like I did.
