This man is a treasure. I learned so much in his classes, I wish I would have taken more of his classes before he retired. He expected your very best and would call you out if you do not deliver. He has a power to his voice and a way of speaking that just made you want to eat up every word he said. Come back Bob, we miss you!

I had Mr. Leith as a high school teacher in the 1980's and for a summer class at OU. Thereafter, I attended Ohio Northern University and Ohio State Law. Likewise, many other courses through the years including instructors like the attorney F. Lee Bailey and many others. Bob Leith still ranks as best teacher/professor/ role model ever!

He is a wealth of info. He expects nothing less than your best. But turn around is fair play. He gives his very best, and on every front of his being. I agree w/every post here. He is a rare commodity and when our community loses him, we will have lost an irreplacable gift. Soak him up while you can. You'll be richer for it, and not the $$ kind.

Mr. Leith is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to history. He expects much from students and grades toughly (a 94% is a A). Although it is difficult, if you care about the class and you're willing to work, you can succeed. If all OU Southern professors were like Mr. Leith, it would be a private liberal arts college and not a public university.

He is quite literally my hero. He is the best professor I have ever had, and I could not respect a person more. If you are willing to try, he is willing to help. He deserves recognition on a national level for his knowledge of history, especially civil war history. MR LEITH FOR PRESIDENT!

This man has inspired me to be a High School History teacher. He is the greatest example of a teacher I have ever known. Anyone who wants to model their teaching career after a teacher, they could not find a better example than Mr. Leith. He is the most interesting teacher I have ever had. His knowledge is unsurpassed.

Mr. Leith is the most intelligent amazing professor I have ever had. He makes the subject of history extremely interesting. I would put this man's knowledge of history up against any ivy league professor and I have complete confidence he would amaze them. They would probably learn a great deal from him. Mr. Leith was HANDS DOWN the best professor or teacher in general i've ever had. I have COPIUS amounts of respect for that man. He is extremely intelligent (has a son that went to yale to become a doctor), genuinly funny, and helpful to any and all student willing to give him the time to help. I recommend him for any student!

Mr. Leith thought the TAG class I attended on Monday Nights. His love for history really shines through his lectures and makes you want to listen and learn. He makes sure you know what he is talking about. He makes sure to get to know everyone of his students. He even offered to write me a L.O.R. if needed. Bob Leith is truly an amazing professor.
