I went to class rarely if at all and got an A. The tests are just the learnsmart questions, if you can teach yourself from those youll get an A. He ended up curving the grades at the end as well, so youre pretty much guaranteed an A or B. Would recommend for sure.

Class consisted of 4 quizzes (tests), Learnsmart modules, and 2 critical thinking papers (2-3 pages). It wasn't a difficult class, just sometimes prof can get off topic. Otherwise, it is beneficial to come because he gives out hints to focus on for the quiz. If you read and study the chapters you will be fine for quizzes. Myers is a nice professor.

Bob Myers is a good guy. Possibly the best caring professor you'll ever meet in COB. He has 4 exams, a lot of connect modules, and 2 papers. All can be stressful but it'll be worth it in the end. I enjoyed having him.

Bob Myers is the sweetest professor. He really cares for each and everyone of his students. Attendance is not mandatory and PowerPoints are posted online. Sometimes in class he will give away some of the test questions, so it is beneficial to go. There are two papers and I think he just gives everyone 100's for completing them. Take him!!!

Bob is great! He ties in real world experience with lecture and really helps bring the material to life! While attendance is not mandatory, you'll sell yourself short by skipping class, as he often gives quiz hints in lecture. Connect module for each chapter, 2 critical thinking papers, and 4 quizzes. Not a lot of opportunity for points!

This is an intro to MGMT class! If you really read and study outside of class and don't show up, you can get a B easy. Don't be the person that gets a C in this class! Material is just memorizing concepts/terms. Grades are 4 mult choice exams, 16 Learnsmart modules, 2 short essays. Obviously if you don't memorize material you could fail.

The class can be tedious at time and he tells a ton of stories (sometimes the same stories multiple times) but really if you pay attention to what the moral of the stories are you can get a lot out of them. He really does enjoy his job, and that in itself is refreshing. Take him, worst you can do (probably) is a B.

God, this class. The professor spends the entire time telling stories, some of them repeats, rather than teaching. If I ever showed up, I found that reading the book and doing his LearnSmarts during his lecture was much more productive than actually listening to his lecture. Wouldn't take again

Myers now requires participation to get a decent grade. The modules and reflection paper are also easy ways to get points. Beware of tests, no one does well. Gives out a couple A's per class if that, everyone else falls in the B range usually.

He is a very nice teacher. However, he is quite old so anything with technology takes him a while to start. He tends to tell stories more than actually teaching during class. The tests are not too hard as long as you read though.

The other reviews are on point but I would say he is easier than they lead on. Yea, the tests seem tough but I'm still getting a B in the class bc of the modules and 1 paper we have to write. Going to class is pointless. no attendance grade and like they said, all he does is tell stories and the same jokes. nice guy who means well

Although Dr. Myers may curve his class towards a B, it is not impossible to receive an A from him. I have never had a professor that enjoys his job as much as Bob and, because of that, I took away more from this class than a majority of my business classes. As long as you are disciplined enough to read your textbook and attend class you'll be fine.

MGMT 301: Principles of Management. Of my time at U of L I can say with full confidence that this class has been the biggest waste of my time. Its required and thats the only reason I took it. Bob Myers will give you an easy B, but an A is impossible. Some may be content with this, but as a 3.95 GPA student, I was upset. Average on tests were ~60%

Very nice old man. Tons of experience in life which he will tell u ALL about it class. No need to take notes. Just read the book and try to memorize vocab, etc. His tests are all multiple choice straight from the book. The semester is not over but all the other posts say he gives a generous curve.

People love to give this guy the hate, but Bob Myers really isn't as bad as people make him out to be. He's a really cool guy and, while I did have to look in the book for everything and his tests were really difficult, he is one of the few down to earth instructors of the Business school. Take him if you can study yourself and make appointments.

Myers is an awful teacher. His tests are next to impossible, he mumbles about absolutely nothing during class, he is stuck in the past, and is not helpful in the slightest. The fact that the general consensus is that you fail every test and just "take a B" really frustrated me. I just withdrew from this class, and would not recommend him to anyone.

Failed all 3 tests in his class. Everyone student around me did as well- they are next to impossible. No worries he curves soooo much at the end I got a B! we had a few excel assignments (but the instructions are given step by step) other than that no hw or mandatory attendance. dont panic! going to class is pointless unless you like to hear jokes

Hated his class at first, learned to love it. Repeats alot of jokes, mumbles through class, but curves alot. He even said hes never given anyone lower than a C. Attendance is required, grade consists of 4 exams, a cumulative final, group presentation, and attendance points. Funny but not good professor. To sum it up: I am taking him for MGMT401 :)

Bob is a really sweet guy who wants his students to do well. He doesn't do much in class but tell stories, but they're pretty entertaining. A lot of people didn't do well on the tests, but the vast majority of the class ended up with a B because he curved so much.
