I found this class to be a nightmare! I worked harder for this 1 credit-hour class than I have for any of my useful, 3 and 6-credit hour courses! Follow the guide, do what you can, and if need be, go to the Dean.

Awful class! Professor is unhelpful and there is WAY too much work for this one credit hour class. He is NOT afraid to fail anyone! Making wire plaster sculptures that made me bleed is not something I would bring into any classroom! Many other pointless projects. Make sure you have at least 15 art journal entries and LOTS of writing to go with them

Tucker is very ambiguous with instructions because he wants you to be creative. I didn't mind him and do think that he has opened my eyes to the difference between art and craft. Students need to be taught art and need to learn to explore not just complete random crafts where each students' turns out identical.

He is very passionate about art. The amount of work for the portfolio is too much for a one credit. Really don't waste too much of your trying making it impressive. This class is, unfortunately, completely useless. Go, get it over with, forget it.

Very glad to be done art. I'm sorry but I will never get my students to make plaster molds of each other's faces. Nothing we "learned" could be useful in a regular classroom, defeating the purpose of being forced to take the course. The workload is INSANE for a pass fail course and his expectations are WAY too high.

I heard all of the horror stories and almost cried when I found out that Tucker was my faculty advisor. Then I found out that this man is completely different outside of the university. He is fair, lets your co-op teacher write the final evaluation (as they should) and listens to any concerns you have. A very different experiences than expected.

HORRIBLE! Does your assignments FOR you, very unclear, very boring, is a jerk, has no idea what he's doing. He hands you a dead fish and tells you to paint it. HOW AM I GOING TO USE THAT IN AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CLASSROOM??? WORST class EVER. NOT looking forward to having him again next year.

He doesn't read journals, lesson plans or unit plans. Teaches Art at University but doesn't know who Edward Hopper is !? Uses clip-art in his class mock-ups - I guess he can't draw? He is a model for equal opportunities as he is an Art instructor who can't make Art and can't instruct.

I found that he graded unfairly. I think he compaired everyone in the class and gave the best papers/journals/exams A's and went from there. His class was fun though, i mean you got to have sharing time at the beginning of each class.
