Prof Koleci is one of the best teachers I've ever had. She gives examples of everything and works through them clearly. She encourages questions and office hours. I was very disappointed to hear she won't be back this year.

Comment:

Appropriately challenging for a 11x1 class. Knows, and really enjoys, the material. Sometimes assumes too much prior math knowledge, making examples occasionally hard to follow. But Koleci is a genuinely caring professor, who will do everything she can to not only get you through the class, but appreciate the physics as well. GO. TO. OFFICE. HOURS.

She does not cover the material at all. Everything that she goes over is useless and you don't understand why you are doing what you are doing. The homework assignments are way beyond the level of understanding she provides you with. The exams are sometimes nothing like the multiple practice exams she supplies so you are prepared to fail.

She covers the material in a very sloppy manner. The subjects students typically struggle with are hardly touched upon in lecture, but the easy topics are covered over-extensively. Additional the homework assignments are not well thought out, throwing students right into the most difficult problems, and adding an easy 1 or 2 at the end.

Everything is SCALED. I received a 60 on my first exam and somehow pulled off an A for the course. If you don't understand the material, she holds office hours almost daily for you to stop by. She's very helpful in office hours and during tests, she gives out candy to distract you :)

Professor Koleci is a really good teacher! She thinks she is really funny and gives out candy... she's really not funny but that's why it's funny. Her tests are kind of hard but she scales up A LOT. Very helpful with many office hours. Very nice and respectful.

there's a rumor that prof koleci was denied tenure and will be leaving in the end of next year. if you are planning to take any E&M courses while at wpi, i would strongly encourage writing the dept head and asking to think twice before kicking koleci out, because she is the best professor i had at this school

What a dear. She gives out candy in class when you ask questions, and encourages group activities for extra credit/ projects. There wasn't a lot of time to go over examples in class but the help sessions took care of that nicely. She shifts gears fairly quickly, so be awake in class. One of the nicest profs on campus, and very well dressed to boot.

Prof Koleci is a great teacher, I hate physics, this was my first time taking the subject, and the only reason I did well was her. She makes it very clear, organized, and is so helpful. I often went to her after class to get help too! Wish she was physics 2 professor too!

A wonderful techer who is truly interested in her students' success. Classes were often fun, I only fell asleep in one the whole term (a new record for me). Group oriented class:).Homework gets to be a pain if you procrastinate like me, but overall she's awesome, and fairly easy on the eyes to boot.
