Bobby is the best math teacher at lpc period. I took him for all my math classes. He has recorded all his lectures on YouTube so you can watch them over and over. Highly recommended!

Comment:

This is the math professor to take. He does not only grade off of tests. Homework is counted plus discussion question for helping each other out and fun lab papers that also count towards your grade. I highly recommend him. He is very helpful if you are not getting a problem. He will keep going over it with you until you do.

I took his math 65 hybrid class in the summer and I got an A. Now that I'm taking his stats hybrid class I feel lost. I've never gotten a bad grade in math like this before. He's a great professor, but his exams are almost impossible to pass. The reviews about him on here are not accurate. Take another professor for stats.

I'm in Bobby's stats class right now. It's great but you MUST Follow these rules: watch the lectures before class, do the homework - all extra credit points, and do the practice exams. The practice exams are identical to the in-class exams. I have an easy A so far!

Rate my professor is not accurate for his stats class. His test are super difficult and have a lot of material. I can't Express enough how hard his test are. I struggle to finish them on time. On my first test I got a 35. Then on the second a 65, the mean for the 2nd test was 61. Save your GPA and stay away, if you can take someone else then do.

Im sure hes a good prof, but I made the mistake of taking a hybrid summer class with him. Most difficult thing ever. He expected class to help each other online and only posted old video lectures that didnt cover all material. Had to learn 4-5 chapters every two weeks independently. I ended up dropping the class because I did so poorly.

Coming from a student who never got a long with numbers since day 1, Bobby's hybrid class is just exceptional. You're on your own pace, extra credit opportunities, he's just straight up to the point with everything. There is no reason that you'll not get an A as long as you work your end. I highly recommend his hybrid class.

One of the best math professors at Las Po. This is coming from a student that dropped out of AP Stat in high school. Bobby's HYBRID class is SO EASY that you can do the work on your own time. The ex. problems he gives in the lectures are similar to the test. If you're debating whether to take stat online or in class, ONLINE WILL BE YOUR BEST FRIEND

Truly a genuine guy. I remember when he posted that a group of individuals had forgotten to put their names on their homework, and let people know that they can come in to claim their homework.(Typically college doesn't work like that). Extra credit NEEDS TO BE DONE. Exams can be bit hard, but if you do all the work(including homework) you're good.

Took the hybrid class and managed to get a B without doing the extra credit. Pay attention during the lectures and make sure you know how to do all the example problems. My biggest regret is not doing the homework (which is all extra credit) because if I did I would've done better on the tests and could've gotten an A.

I messed up by taking the online course. Bobby is INCREDIBLE.. very caring and a genuine person. I was lazy, didn't do my work or study, and didn't take advantage of his office hours. If you can learn stats from your computer (he posts online lectures), take this class. Just be sure to manage your time and ask for help when you need it.

Bobby was a great professor for math 65 in summer 2017. My favorite was the online lectures. There was a decent amount of homework, and only 3-4 exams. Discussion boards and labs were really easy. I would take him again for 55 next time. Although he is a little lazy when it comes to grading. Solid choice in my opinion

Great professor, very understanding and supportive. All his lectures are videos online which is nice to replay before the tests. Take notes while watching them. All the homework is extra credit so do it! The tests are a little hard, but he gives you study guides. Quizzes are open note/group work. Just stay on top of your stuff to get an A or B :)

Prof. August is by far the best math teacher I've ever had! His lectures are online but easy to understand; his discussion boards require participation but really encourage learning and solidifying the material. He also offers extra credit and is always super helpful in his office hours, and is very understanding of his students. Would take again!

Homework is all extra credit. Doing it helps prepare you for the tests. All his lectures are online. I got a B on the tests but did all the other work and cruised to an A in the class. Best math class ever. Thanks Bobby!

Dr. August posts all his lectures online, so it is up to you to watch them at home. The homework is extra credit, and there is a LOT of it, but doing it does prepare you very well for the tests. In class we do board problems, open note quizzes where you can do them with others, and Excel labs. Dr. August is not very available.
