Comment:

Took this class for credit and it is not only extremely boring but extremely hard and grading is very strict. I didnt learn anything here and the instructor is too stingy for good grades. At least if he made the class more interesting students would be more motivated to learn but it is really poorly structured.

I took this as an online class with Professor Wheeler over the summer. Organization of the class was a mess. Due dates would not be posted on the canvas calendar. When frustrated with class performance you can expect to receive an email with disrespectful undertones.

I have always done very well in his classes, but beware he can be perceived as "mean" sometimes. He isn't a fan of "stupid questions" and he can be hard to work with over Canvas. Make sure to read all of his assigned textbooks chapters, take notes, AND read his lectures. Tests can be hard. If you do the work though, you will pass.

Super confusing. Sent multiple emails with several questions and didn't get any responses. Had 1 practice assignment for the final. Didn't receive that grade until after the final was over. No info given for either assignment or final. Awful teaching style. Blames students for not understanding. Wouldn't recommend. Very harsh, rude and mean.

buzz is a extremely knowledgeable instructor. His class is the only class I have taken at Highline that evens comes close to my previous college classes. The paralegal program is designed to prepare you to work in the Paralegal field, not just pass out 4.0. I am so thankful I had the opportunity to take a class from Buzz.

Okay teacher if you don't get on his bad side. He does believe some questions are stupid questions so think before you ask a question. SUPER sarcastic, can be mistaken for rudeness. Buzz is a great professor. I had some trouble with a case i had to write a paper on. I did not understand why he gave me a bad grade. He did let me redo it for a 2.0. Then I went to work in a law office,where I laughed and realized where i had gone wrong. I almost resubmitted the paper just for fun. He is really nice if you make an appt. with him.

An effective and knowledgeable Instructor who has good knowledge of the law. An excellent Instructor who prepares his class due diligently in preparation to enter the legal profession. I found Buzz to be pleasant and would recommend his classes to anyone who is seriously considering the legal profession.

I took his online intro to law class. It was mostly easy, as long as you do the assignments you should be fine. Make sure to ask him questions if you have them. Online classes are highly interactive so you need to participate in the discussions and make sure to ask for help when needed. Read the chapters and you'll do fine.

I have a mixed review. I also took Family Law w/Buzz on campus and had a horrible experience with him. I find his attitude with people that ask questions to be rude and demeaning. However, I took POL200 online and had a great experience. He is a good, knowledgeable teacher. His grading is touch but you will know the material when you are done.

One of the most difficult instructors I've ever had. Very bad temper, do not get on his bad side. DO NOT BE LATE. Do ALL of the reading because he will call on you at some point or make you present w/group in front of the class. Tests are straight out of the cases and reading. If you understand the material the tests will be fine. Tons of reading.

Condescending, rude, haughty, demeaning, very red and unhealthy, biased, class is self taught, he is just there to insult people for asking questions. For good grade keep your mouth shut, he likes to interrupt you, but DO NOT do it to him. Should not be teaching, not teacher quality.

I get the best grades with him and I got the worse grades from him also. He presents info very well but does not welcome questions or comments. Can make offensive comments. Make students feel stupid. If you get a rated work from him you are not welcome to come and ask questions on it.

I REALLY liked that he doesn't take any BS from slacker students (the one's that are always late, leave early, and constantly complain). Tests are difficult (no multiple choice, t/f) but you will know and understand the material when you are done. Take good notes, study hard and you will do well. Overall? Highly recommended, but not easy.
