I took him many years ago, and although I'm no longer an engineer, I still remember his classes fondly. He focuses on the essentials, and you learn the math. No one teaches like this anymore - one day you'll appreciate it!

Dr. Nisteruk is probably the most knowledgeable Professor in the entire continent. He is a fantastic teacher. You learn from his courses absolutely what there is on the subject. I wish him a long life. He is Great in absolute terms.

C.Nisteruk wants to make sure that you know the fundamentals. He expects you to put in the effort in order to do so. For this reason, his courses are perceived to be difficult; the reality of the matter is that with due effort, one can come out of his courses with enough preparation for advanced material. Choose rigor over an easy A from elsewhere!

Nisteruk may be a genius but he is honestly one of the worst teachers I've ever had. He expects you to learn by watching him flip through his notes on the overhead. I don't pay 30K a year for a teacher not to teach me. Avoid at all costs I've learned absolutely nothing from this man. Take Pascone for everything.

He definitely knows what he is talking about. I have to agree, he absolutely has no regard for computer engineering...which is very depressing. The homework you will be able to do, but the quizzes... will be in Latin(which he loves)...literally. Not to mention the final...thats is french, spanish, russian, latin...you wont have a clue. to be cont.

Worst professor...avoid him at all cost!!!!...you can get an A with Ozturk...but with him you have to fight hard just to get a C.

I will agree with the fact that he knows his stuff. Probably because he invented it and was taught by Aristotle and Maxwell and Faraday and Euclid themselves. But his presentation of the material is a lot of fat that covers up the real meat. He goes way too far into what he's trying to get across and confuses you as to what you really need to know. In other words, he highly overcomplicates everything.

As everyone else said, old as time, but still sharp. He doesn't recognize computer engineering as a valid engineering discipline, and thusly does not like computer engineers. Knows his electrical engineering like the back of his liver spot covered head. He can be really hard to find if you need extra help outside of class. I didn't find his office until 2 years after I'd taken his course. If you dont know your fundamentals expect to suffer ALOT in his classes, and to spend hours brushing up on em

He may be as old as the school itself, but he is one damn good teacher. Always on-the-ball, always late, always very blunt. Oh yeah, he's got some interesting stories too.

He's real old school. His classes can be kind of boring with all the math he does, but if you pay attention you can really learn something. He really is an excellent teacher. His quizes can be pretty complicated though

Many may disagree, but he is one of the best teachers at Manhattan College! Although he is the "Mr.Burns" of MC, he is priceless as a teacher. He is very helpful outside of class, and in actuality, he is a nice man at heart!

Nisteruk is old as time, but sharp as a tack, is a walking encyclopedia. I know now more probability/stochastics than I ever wanted to know. Awesome notes (he hands them out, tests are open notes). Not an easy prof, but if you want to learn, take him!
