She does not give any homework. The grade is mainly test and quizzes. She gives an assignment sheet that you can do on your own time with exercises for each section. DO NOT LOSE THIS SHEET. The textbook is not helpful, even though it is needed to pass the class. Page numbers don't correspond with the contents, examples are very short and undetailed

She's very nice, but just a really bad teacher. She seems flighty and I spent a lot of time teaching myself from the book. Luckily I'd taken the class in high school so that helped and this was basically a refresher for me. If you don't know the material, find a better prof. If you're retaking the class, go for it.

Mrs Palmer is definitely under rated! She was one of my favorite professors at Santa Fe yet! Her teaching style is very old school, straight from the text, but she made sure she taught every section thoroughly. Her quizzes are identical to her tests so there are no surprises, all you gotta do is study the assigned exercises and you're golden!

Professor Palmer is under-rated. The class itself was not difficult, although reading the text is a necessity. Do the HW!! The only requirements for the class are four short quizzes and three exams and the final. To not attend the class is silly, her lectures are clear and to the point.She wasn't my first choice but definitely not a bad professor!

I took her because she was the only one who was teaching this class at the time being. She does not explain things well and whenever you ask things in class or go to her office hours she blows you off. Half the class was struggling through this class. The only people that had it easy were the people who had taking this class previously.

she is a great teacher and a nice person. if you pay attention in class and take notes and actually go to class you will do fine and have a good time in class. The people that are giving her bad ratings on here are the lazy ones that want their math spoon fed to them. She is clear in her explanations and if you do want help she is willing to help.

I feel robed by this teacher. She does't explain the material well and she is hard to follow. You are better off taking this class online or on your own. If you need guidence in math avoid her. You will fail due to her lack of detail explanations and support. No review for quiz(25)min and exams. She is old school and no calculator use at times.

DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER! She is the worst teacher I have ever had. She does not teach anything in class and when she does she will not follow through with the examples. Even if you go to her for help, she will talk to you in riddles! Avoid this teacher!!!

Likes to skip over explaining concepts because she claims that you should already know them well. That didnt make sense to me, if im in a math class thats usually for a reason and i would like to be taught what im paying to learn!!! DONT TAKE HER IF AT ALL POSSIBLE(if youre not strong on math).

This teacher does not take the time to make sure concepts are understood before moving to the next section. Often new material not on the test are introduced before the test is given instead of waiting until afterwards. HW not graded so you must be self motivated. Well, all i can say is Watch Out! She is a very nice lady, but if you have not taken calculus before dont take this teacher. She is very fast and not very helpful. She takes out her frustration on the less talented students. All i can say is that i wasted my money.

She is ok. Not the greatest, but I've had worse. Since I shouldn't have been in that class, I passed easily. But if you don't understand math easily or if it's not your major, I recommend someone else. She can be a little confusing at times. However, she is extremely helpful and helps you understand the basic concept. I have mix feeling about her.

Overall experience was positive. Teacher really plows though the text...everything will be covered. Although not mandatory, make sure you do the recommended homework. Rather easy to fall behind if study time is neglected. I have mixed feelings about taking her for clac one.

If I didn't have a great teacher in highschool 2 years ago I would be lost in this class. I am a math person and I did semi okay in this class.. If you need a good explanation for math DO NOT take her! She is very annoying and it is mandatory to attend class!
