I can't believe this man is still teaching at OU. I had him for Engineering Calc 1 and hated every minute of it. I couldn't understand him, and when anyone had a question about something, he would just belittle them or tell them their question couldn't be answered. For the love of God, avoid taking this man's class if you can help it.

He assigns a lot of homework, and some type of homework problems are not discussed in the lecture, so you have to read textbook and try to figure out by yourself. But those homework problems are very useful for studying for exams. Try to get used to his strong accent. His lectures are very confusing, but he gives a lot of chance to get extra credit

Topology HW can be done in groups and you have a group project instead of a final so find study buddies! Lectures can get very confusing but exams are more straightforward (hard but they're take-home exams). He's nice enough and helpful in office hours. Asks tough questions about your project to make sure you know your stuff. Grades are curved.

Boris will not be for people trying to chill to an A. Def a different structure compared to other math classes at OU. He give multiple opportunities to get a good grade in this class. EC Participation, Bonus Points, EC Project, Curved final Grades for an A 90-85. Basically if you do all the HW and Go to class, you'll do fine. Hard Grader.

Apanasov is very hit or miss. If you attend class and study you will do fine. Be prepared to learn some course material on your own, as his lectures can be very confusing. The way he teaches is very different. But he genuinely wants to give you every chance to succeed, with extra credit, generous grading, and curves.

Dr. Apanasov is an amazing professor. He is a very caring person. He doesn't really care for you to ask questions in class, but if you don't understand something, go to his office hours!!! He will help you! He is not one to just give you the answers as he wants you to understand the material! More laid back after drop date! Very Funny!

One of the best professors I've had in the math department. Explains things very well and is very helpful because he wants to see students do well. Just go to class you get 60 bonus points just for attendance, hw not bad and extra credit opportunity.

Really nice person, but has a really strong accent! It takes so getting used to, but he really wants you to succeed as a student. Tests are hard but fair, same with homework. Unless Calc III comes easy to you, you need to do more work than just the assigned homework to pass the tests.

This was by far the hardest class I have taken. However, Dr. Apanasov really cares about your success as a student. May seem overwhelming at first, but tough it out because it gets better! I would definitely take another class taught by him!

The man fails fundamentally as a teacher. He gets angry at people who ask a question about something on the board that was covered in a previous lecture, as he expects you to quickly master everything taught in his courses. Tests are tough, but he's typically a fair grader. Avoid unless you're a math genius and you enjoy living on the edge.

Class attendance is mandatory on days with quizzes and when homework is due. I have taken 2 of his classes now and he uses a different professor's previous exams. Once I figured this out I received an easy A in the rest of his classes. Also all the homework is online(chegg). If you actually want to learn calculus then do not take his class.

Once you get used to his accent the content becomes clearer. The tests are difficult but he grades fairly and will help you out alot if you show him that you understand the concept just a little. The extra credit is extremely helpful, basically making it a requirement. At the end he gives a very helpful curve. Does not post grades online

Without a doubt the worst teacher I have ever had. The class started out with about 50 people in the class and all but 14 people dropped the class. Going to class is mandatory, yet a complete waste of time. If you ask a question he will make a rude response along the lines of "That question cannot be answered". Absolutely DO NOT TAKE.

If you want to actually learn something and pass, don't take him. He would never answer questions saying "That is an impossible question to answer." Going to class was not helpful. He was very rude and condescending to everyone but a few. He also failed a little over half of our class.

He uses very formal mathematical language in his lectures and occasionally on his tests. This can be confusing but if you get the hang of it then this class will be pretty straightforward. For the tests, he just takes some of the examples in the book and applies them. Understand the examples needed for the homework and you'll do fine on the tests.

A very difficult class. If it wasn't for the stupidly huge curve, I would have had a much uglier grade than what I got. Avoid if possible. However, if you do end up taking his class, pay very close attention to his notes. He likes to put variations of his lecture problems in exams. Also, get to know your designated TA. Mine was a big help.

If you can, avoid Apanasov. He is very rude and it's very difficult to understand him. He makes this class much harder than what it should be. The additional problems he assigns with the homework are almost impossible and his exams are nearly impossible. I was so worried about my GPA, I got his permission to withdrawal from the class.

STAY AWAY! Very hard to understand and doesn't take time to fully explain a concept during class. When questions are asked, he usually shoots them down. Homework usually consists of several problems, unlike other calc classes. The exams are very hard. Studying the homework doesn't work, instead study the notes from the lectures.
