Comment:
The class is seminar-style. While you may not know what this means as a freshman, you are expected to. There is a lot of reading, and you must be ready to discuss at every class. He is a really interesting guy. It was a fun class for the most part. You never know where you stand grade-wise because you're only graded on a final portfolio.

Comment:
Dr. Branham is a very well read man, and you're sure to pick up interesting bits of knowledge from his class. He enjoys listening to your opinion, and will also readily learn from you, saying, "Oh, I didn't know that, that's good!" We went beyond the class topic, talking linguistics and current politics even - which most professors shrink from.

Comment:
Dr. Branham is one of the most interesting teachers I have ever had. Yes, he does have a high opinion of himself and he sometimes assigns a ridiculous amount of work and expect alot from his students, but he is a very smart guy and appreciates you when he can tell you've put work in and when you make thoughtful comments in class.

The whiners who posted below ought to consider doing the work and coming to class prepared. They might get something out of Branham's lectures then! This man is brilliant--you just have to do your part.

Often late or unprepared. Never available outside class. Can be cruel and intimidating to students.
