explains things thoroughly and allows complete hands on learning offering assistance in any way possible. Each assignment is explained and then repeated during the following class time for complete understanding. I highly recommend taking this instructor for this class!!

Hes a good guy, its an easy A class follow him on lectures and ur A is in ur pocket! He demos on one class and repeats the demo onthe other day of the week, easy assignments all r due the last day of class! Final exam is just 4 easy assignments with clear instructions! If u dont get an A in this class u should get out of school right away lol

I don't know much about the way computers work, which is what this class is pretty much about, and Mr. Holder sort of acts like everyone in the class already knows what he knows. He's a nice guy, but not a great teacher. His notes are all written on the board but not very organized. The class is boring, so don't take it unless it is necessary.

Larry is pretty cool. He give long tedious homework, but that's just regular for infs majors. He gives you way to much time to finish assignments. Downside, he will not grade those assignments till the very last two weeks.

Mr. Holder is the best! This class is an easy A. There are several computer assignments, but he demos them all in class and they are all due the last day of class. He really knows computers and gives great advice on buying and maintaining your own computer! Take him!!

Took this man for COBOL. COBOL can be a rather boring language, but he had a lot of real-life experience, and made assignments accordingly. Instead of LabGrader assignments that teach you to output "Hello World" x amount of times, he gave assignments that could possibly resemble real-life programming jobs (on a much smaller scale) you'd encounter.

He's a helpful teaher and his class can be easy if you attended all classes. He doesn't take attendance. I liked the coarse coz he makes it easy for you. I was scared at the begining but then he made it very easy. His tests are easy and homeworks are super easy. The only bad thing about him is that his notes are not well organized on the board

He talks like a computer programmer in class and can be really confusing cause half the time you dont know what he is talking about. Also his notes are all over the place on the board. But dont get intimidated. The tests are easy and he shows you past tests to help you prepare. Plus make an A on first two tests and exempt from final.

This is a hard course. Be prepared to work hard to learn everything. Mr. Holder is very understanding of students that have to work. He does expect you to write sql scripts for homework. There's only one lab that you can do that in.

Great guy! The only homework you'll ever have are the handful of projects. Exams aren't too tough. Just study notes. If you make A's on the first two Exams, you're exempt from the final. Just do the work and you'll come out with an A. Anybody who says it was too hard was looking on Ebay all class period! Note: there are mirrors on the walls.

Mr. Holdrs is a very good teacher. If you are willing to put forth the effort and do some work in his class he will reward you, by being exempt form the final exam. So I will let you make your own judgement about him. He can't be all that bad if he does what all the rest of the instructors should.

Good guy. Knows Oracle very well -- get ready for some elaborate boardwork (writes small so it will fit on the board). If you have a fresh interest in database, you'll love this class, otherwise I might suggest lots of coffee prior to meeting.........

Fairly simple teacher. Tests are all fill in the blank, but easy if you study.I came out with an A, but CS 201 isn't exactly brain surgery either.Will help if you ask, though sometimes hard to get in contact with outside of class. Overall an ok teacher.
