Brad Austin (Bradass). What a guy. I had so much fun in his class. I learned so much about Hamilton and about Salem State. He helped us grow as students and shared his knowledge about the musical Hamilton and the history about him in real life. We went on walks and even went downtown for a walking tour and ate lunch (that was free).

Comment:

Dr Austin is a great professor he cares for his students and is approachable. Dr Austin always listened to the class and if we needed extra time on a paper he gave it to us. If you have the opportunity to take him TAKE HIM. Last fall I took him for First year seminar and we went on two walking feild trips .

Professor Austin is a really nice guy. Hes always willing to take students feedback into consideration and definitey knows what hes talking about. I had him for a first-year seminar so my experience wasnt the same as other history students, but I would definitely take a class with him again.

He really cares about his students. When you're feeling down, he goes out of his way to make sure you're okay. He encourages participation and for you to think for yourself. He really tries to get you to use your head and express your opinion. He might fall behind for some assignments, but other than that, one of the best professors I've had.

Best teacher ever. I took his class in summer of 2015, he is the nicest, best teacher I ever had SSU. Gives super easy work, test are easy if you pay attention. The book reading was pointless to be honest. I honestly skimmed the books he assigned and still got a perfect grade

Dr. Austin was by far the greatest Professor I had the pleasure of having at Salem State University. I had him for EDU341 and my actual student teaching Practicum. Dr. Austin went above and beyond and out of his way to help me become a successful educator. Passionate, smart and kind, he is a treasure at Salem State University!

Brad Austin is the man! I took my two US History classes with him and didn't regret it, he's definitely the one to take for that. He's so passionate, and makes anything interesting. I highly recommend him for History majors and non History majors. His grades are always fair, 1 to 2 papers, a midterm and a final.

Def in the top 3 for best professor at ssu. He has style, great personality, and i have a major crush on him. Also he knows pop culture i never heard of a professor refer to dmx or 50 cent in a class. I hated US history prior to his class but now i enjoy it. He tries to make everything clear as possible. overall, you will walk away knowing so much.

Professor Austin is certainly my favorite teacher this semester. He makes US History fun to learn, and uses lots of different techniques- primary docs, podcasts, textbook, etc. The long essay on the final exam is determined by the roll of the dice, so he can grade them fairly and not with prior knowledge. Overall a very good professor.

I had this professor for an honors seminar class and he was awesome. I had a dinosaur of a professor before his class and he was always a refreshing reminder of why I go to college. Clear with his students. Always told us what his plan was for the day. Built a fun relationship with his class. Made me feel like an equal.
