This dude puts 3 HUGE papers due the same week. Normally that wouldn't be so bad but you only get a WEEK to do all of them. This guy assumes you have 100% of your time allocated to this class and you don't have a job. I'm going to need to take time off of work to do these assignments. Thanks. Mr Carothers is a great guy. Extremely passionate about what he does. You can sleep through his class, because the lectures will not exactly help you on the test, however they are interesting and very easy to relate too. Before each test just go on google docs and type up a bunch of notes from the textbook and there's no doubt you'll pass with an A

He was a really good lecturer, he was super interesting and made you never want to skip class. However his tests were extremely hard (so make a really good cheat sheet!) and he makes you do group work so make sure you have a good group from the start. His hw isn't bad, but he has gotten harder over the years and I'm sure there are easier teachers

His online classes consists of him throwing stuff at you though canvas and the student having to figure out what to do with it. It's like a scavenger hunt on its own to find each assignments and do them within a ridiculously short time frame. DO NOT take his Phyc online classes

His online summer course is INSANE. Responses to academic forums (already a freaking essay of 3 pages) requires another essay (for responses)! Also he is NOT accommodating for his summer classes. Too much work in a short amount of time is unacceptable!

Holy crap. He has a huge 5 page paper due 3 days after the online semester starts. Like what the heck dude. He has so much information on his class canvas page that it comes to a TL;DR situation. Also, to get a minimum on his essays you NEED to write at least 5 pages, seriously dude. People have jobs here. He does give extra credit though.

I liked Mr. Carothers online class style. You will do well if you read his free e-textbook, take good notes, and put thought into essays. It was great how he graded on how well I knew the content and not on my mediocre writing skills. Though the class is very doable, MANAGE YOUR TIME and really put out a few hours a week to study.

Only thing I hated was emailing him because he would give kind of rude replies back. Its almost as if he wants us to feel stupid for asking him for help on anything. When I would ask for help he told me "did you look at the syllabus", as if I didn't already try that. I had asked for help from classmates who were also given rude replies from him.

Carothers responds to e-mails very quickly, UNLESS you have a question about a grade you received as he states that you can get 'unlimited feedback' BEFORE a specific date, BEFORE an assignment is due. His grading rubrics are very confusing. Otherwise, do all his assignments and it's an easy A! Plus he gives out lots of extra credit!!

Took him summer 2016. This review is too late but I do highly recommend him in class. Many people asked me about who was my professor in Psychology. I recommended him to everyone. I have him online and his lectures are something that you will really learn from it. He gives you personal feedback about your work and I like it! He's strict time-wise
