Such a charismatic and engaging speaker! He makes the course content very easily digestible. The tests are pretty easy if you take the time to study and the paper is fairly simple... Just try your best to prepare for current events quizzes each week and hope you stumble upon the same stories.

The best teacher of the semester! The class was fun to go to and Professor Gorham made the lectures entertaining. There is a current events quiz each week which weren't bad you just have to know where to find the info; however, it depends on the TA. Tests were pretty easy; however, he grades the paper hard. Spend a lot of time on it.

Professor Gorham does an incredible job with 107. Lectures are incredibly engaging, he encourages discussion and relates to his students well. Tests are very easy as long as you attend class and flip through textbook for terms on the study guides. He is very fair on the essay, which is your only other big assignment. Cannot speak highly enough.

Prof Gorham is a very understanding man. He grades really tough, but he offers lots of opportunity for extra credit. He has a great personality and is by far one of the coolest guys I've met. He's very clear when he teaches, and he posts study guides before the tests. His class is difficult but definitely worth it.

Professor Gorham is enthusiastic and funny. He's an awesome guy and his class is really fun and you learn some interesting stuff. Make sure you keep up with current events for the quizzes. Exams are pretty easy if you do the reading and pay attention in class. I think the hardest part is the paper since he grades pretty harshly but it is doable.

Very funny guy, was good at relating content to modern times. CEQ's will come back to bite you if you don't take them seriously. Did include material from textbook readings on test as well as lecture material. Gave good feedback on the essay, even if it took a while for him to grade. Keep up and read the syllabus, XC is everywhere and will save you

Honestly as long as you read the book thoroughly, pay attention to the lectures and go to the occasional office hour, tests and essays are very easy. This class isn't designed to be unpassable and an A is very very doable. He includes tons of extra credit opportunities to the point where there's really no excuse not to get an A.

He is an absolutely delightful teacher. He knows his stuff, he's funny, animated, and adorable, and his lectures are interesting enough that I could pay attention even at 8 in the morning. I found he's a little detached at his office hours, but nonetheless he really pushes students to stop by. The tests are fair, but the grading is merciless.

He's a really cool guy and keeps lectures very engaging. You learn a lot in class so I would recommend you show up, especially because the tests are based almost entirely on lecture material. Tests are very difficult and he's a very tough grader, especially when it comes to writing. You learn a lot, but a B should be considered a pretty good grade.

Chilldifficult teacher . The tests are super hard because of the vast content included in each exam. He makes study guides but they aren't really helpful. The short answer questions are the hardest. The CEQs are difficult too. He tells us what news to watch but some questions on the CEQs are clearly not from the publications he told us to read.

There is too much to read and the tests are tough. It takes forever for him to get the grades back. However, he can offer help when you are really asking for it. The feedback that he gave me on the paper is useful. He will be less tough as the semester moves on. If you really show your effort, he will reward you.

He was a cool guy, but a very difficult grader. Tests were hard and very specific on minute details of textbooks and lectures. I got low 90's on everything and got a B for the year. Grading scale did not reflect my work and this happened to others as well.

This guy made the class so awesome. Funny, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable. It's not an easy class tho, tests are rather difficult and you have to put a lot of work into the paper thats worth 40% of your grade. He's a slow grader. Current event quizzes suck. Regardless I recommend taking the class with him because I truly learned alot

Really interesting. He knows what he is talking about. Attendance isn't mandatory but most of his questions come directly from lectures instead of txt book readings (i never did). You need to take more notesthen what he puts up. Studying is required for the tests but he gives you a study guide. Biggest complaint is that he takes forever to grade.
