It was a lot of fun being in her class. We had some really good films to watch and the lectures were engaging. Her insight into film opened up some new perspectives I hadn't seen before. She gives clear assignments, but can be a bit tough on grammar and presentation.

Dr. B as she refers to herself is very passionate about her work. Quirky. You''ll watch a lot of long films that may put you to sleep. However assignments and tests are relatively basic and she gives plenty of time and feedback to prepare for them. Would recommend to an aspiring film student.

Comment:

Great class; professor was friendly and very good at keeping the class engaged, choses interesting movies and clearly passionate about the field of work. Emphasized that we form our own opinions rather than just regurgitate what others have said. Marked very strictly, but explained things clearly and made sure we always knew what to expect.

She is also an English major so she marks extremely hard on papers....like so much so it looks like she only cares about grammar and essay structure rather then content, however I did still enjoy her class and her lectures, she even gave us candy at the final exam , pretty chill prof

She was absolutely one of the best profs I've had in any faculty. Her lectures are interesting, her choice of films was awesome, and she explained everything very clearly. It was easy to get a good mark in her class because her instructions were so explicit.

I didn't find her very approachable, she marks significantly harder than any other film prof I've had courses with, but I thoroughly enjoyed her class. It was probably my favorite film course, she picked great movies to watch and I actually enjoyed her lectures.

Really fun class. Had to work really hard - grade was slipping after first paper - but she was very helpful once I went to her and asked for guidence writing the second. Managed to pull my course grade up a full 1.5 levels! She was never boring and always insightful. Lots of descussions.
