Content was very broad. Did not really use the book too much (I just used my notes for the final). It seems like the class I took with her was more about formulating a water-tight argument for issues discussed in class. Did not seem like an economics class and seemed more like a liberal arts class. The case study really boosted my grade.

Prof. Visano is perhaps one of the best professors that I have had at York. Her knowledge of the course content is obviously beyond adequate. Her lectures are outstandingly engaging. Her method of presenting information induces critical thinking. She can explain the complex and messy financial practices and jargon to ordinary non-finance people.

Basically, she doesn't use the textbook but the recommend reading on the course websit is the thing you need to read. She makes the discussion in every lecture and then doesn't give students correct answers. Its hard to figure out the way of studying her course. Test is more like an essay writing course. Just 1/4 students got B/B+.

she talks about one thing during the lectures and the textbooks are following other topics. Answering a question is a complete pain because she comes off very rude and makes you feel dumb. Would not recommend this course if you care about your GPA! Great course if you're looking to challenge yourself. EXAMS ARE HARD

So far the most boring professor I had. When she asks a question in class don't even try to answer, she will still say you are not quite right. Grading is tough. Half of the class ended up with C. If you get a B+ in this course then you are a genius. Wouldn't recommend if you care about your GPA.

She was an extremely kind prof who really made the class engage their thinking and understand the material for beyond just the classroom. She answers all questions, quite interactive, and keeps classes interesting. On the downside, you probably will have to work for your grade as there are assignments(essays), and quizzes, no finals.

She is fantastic! she helps and encourages me and all my fellow students and is extremely supportive of her students helping us to reach our goals - she helps out with our assignments and discusses writing, time management, presentation or any other strategies we may need to help us through our academic careers

Totally love this prof. She's the most challenging prof ever. She will push and push you to become an active student. You need to read the material multiple times prior the class and participate in the discussion to get a good mark.

Amazing prof she is, fair marker, her discussion were the best...the best trick to get a good grade in her course is to keep up with the reading and participate in the class discussions esp the ones in which she take ur opinion for preparin the exam question...one easy course it was....HIGHLY RECOMMENDATED
