Comment:
Points based, not percentage based, so you can literally do as much work as you want until you have the grade you want. I did enough projects and online comments that I never had to take a test or write an essay. My only complaint is that he basically spends every class just lecturing and that's really boring. I wish there were more discussions.

I had this professor for two classes in one semester and never got tired of him. He is very accommodating and, despite his classes being lecture heavy, knows how to engage his students. Had I not been so overwhelmed with other coursework, I would have been more diligent about reading for his class. That being said, I survived. He's a cool guy.

Brennan is the best professor ever! There is a lot of supplied reading, but I managed to get by with minimal reading. He is super knowledgable about the subject and you can tell he is very passionate about it. Lectures are interesting, super funny. Really understanding about any difficulties and he really cares about the wellbeing of students!

I took him for Comics class and he is amazing. He's very understanding if you miss deadlines (the class was half online). He's funny, knows his stuff, very approachable and laid back. Really loves discussion and loves to hear new ideas. The class wasn't hard, but b/c it's online (no due dates)keeping up with assignments is a must. Don't fall behind

Took him for Graphic Novels. Class was laid back, if not familial. Everyone got on great. There was a ton of interaction and discussion. Great prof to have if you're at all interested in publication or grad school. Absolutely recommended.

helpful & understanding. I learned a lot & raised my GPA. Class is interesting, lots of ex credit opps. Will work with you if you're having trouble. takes attendance, but not the end of the world if you miss class. students give input for midterm & final ?s & he sometimes picks directly from the ?s students submit. I would def take him again.

Pretty cool guy. If you need clarification or help on something he doesn't mind helping. The class isn't hard, just read the assigned stories, because on occasion he does call people out just to make sure people are actually reading. Sometimes he mumbles and trails off at the end of his sentences, it irritated me sometimes.

Fun class environment. First time I actually enjoyed discussing ethnic texts. A little difficult to follow at times but worth it once you start.

true blue decent teacher. more teachers I've had more I realize he's a great prof. He doesn't blow you away sensationally, but is really involved and does a great job of facilitating real discussion. He is willing to help and wants you to do well in the class. be engaged-it will show in your grade! marked hot, but is more of a cute grizzly bear.

His dark and stormy eyes make me love learning. Workshop with Brennan is like a vacation somewhere hot and stormy.
