Comment:

One of the best Professors and people at JCU. He is incredibly smart, kind, and caring. I appreciate that he is willing to help and go the extra mile for students who don't even have him as an advisor. He genuinely cares about students success and I really respect him for that. Definitely take his classes as they are great and very straightforward.

Comment:

Insanely hard class to match one of the best teachers I've ever had. When it's all said and done, you'll receive a feeling of triumph unmatched by any other class. And Brent is their to help at all times. He knows it's not easy but sees the potential in his students. So much respect for this guy.

This is one of the most DIFFICULT classes I have ever taken in my entire life. I was confused, inundated with work 24/7 and had to pull multiple all-nighters to complete work for the debate projects. Brent is one of the nicest people you could ever meet, but his teaching is not for the faint of heart. STUDENTS BEWARE.

Brossman is a very qualified debater. However, because of this he doesn't know how to teach debate at a basic level. Nearly half my class ended up dropping due to being so confused. Very confusing class, very difficult class. Definitely one of the most challenging/confusing courses of my college career.

Dr. Brossmann is the most qualified professor in the Comm dept. by far. Take him at least once if you are a Comm major. This class will really hone your writing techniques. It is difficult, but the end result is great for a writing sample.

Brent Brossmann is by far the smartest man I have ever met, but he is not the kind to rub it in your face. He was meant to teach and to help students succeed. He is an incredibly logical thinker, which can be frustrating sometimes, but the class is the best I have taken so far at JCU. Take the time and effort to learn a little more. It's worth it.

Many have heard that his debate class is the bane of any communications. Well.You have a quiz nearly every class worth 20 pts, and you have at least one massive 50-100 pt project due each week. It's extremely hard work. However, Brent is very understanding and a great teacher. Thought I would do terrible; got an A-. You have to try in this class.

this man lives for debate. he absolutely is obsessed with it! its a ton of work, and i was really confused at first, but it all comes together in the end. he's a pretty fair grader too, and he's really helpful. he just wants to see his students be motivated and work hard

Dr. Brossmann is one of the smartest people I have ever met. He truly loves what he does and is willing to help you in any way possible. Debate is NOT an easy class. Tons of work and he expects a lot, but it's do-able and in the end it's DEFINITELY worth it. You learn so much from him. Highly recommend.

AMAZING teacher. He truly loves to teach and it shows. Is this class difficult? YES! However, if you take his class you truly learn some of the most important skills you will need in life. He truly cares for his students and is willing to help students almost 24/7. His teaching style is dynamic and energetic. Do the work and you will learn!

Good guy, super nice, class isn't hard necessarly but it is a HUGE load of work you have quizzes each class but they are only 3 questions and u dont have a final. He's really layed back your first debate will be the hardest but if ur taking a lot of classes dont take Grades fairly easy but again its a lot of work you need to manage your time wisely

I SWEAR ON EVERYTHING ITS HELL ON EARTH!! This is NOT who you want for Debate, I would NOT steer you wrong. The work load is enough that it should be spread out to a two-semester course, 20 point quizzes EVERY class period on past, previous, and future lessons/lectures. Be prepared to stay up late, sweat, and be very frustrated. DEAD SERIOUS!!!!

Third class with Brossman...absolutely incredible man. Smart beyond belief. I recommend him for Debate, Business Prof. Speaking and Rhet. Theory & Criticism. Easy Grader, No attendance, Late papers accepted. And his stories are amazing! Rhet. Crit...NO TESTS!! Lot of writing though.

He's a nice guy...BUT he is intimidating at first because he's so loud and forceful. Also by the end of his tests your hand will be falling off because they are all essay! Also found to be very unorganized but he realized this and makes up for it by cutting his students breaks on deadlines
