He is the most sweetest professor i've ever met!! I would want to take his class again! He drops your low test score and add the higher one which is amazing! I will miss him a lot! Ask questions? He would help you over and over until you understand!

He is one of the best, you can always ask him for help and he will answer you! The only thing I want to say is LAZY PEOPLE are not allowed to his class, I mean he gives lots of homework for YOU to practice yourself. I passed his test by doing all the homeworks alone. Straight A's. I recommend for you to test yourself not just listen to others.

Look, if you are placed in a below college level math class, it is a sign that you REALLY need to work at it. That means you need to be in class and pay attention. Prof Carthew is fair, he clearly loves what he is teaching, and he will go to any lengths to help you understand. You just have to be present, and speak up when you don't get something.

Teaches by writting a problem on the board, barely explaining, and puts many more problems just like it over and over again. Was lost most of the time, passed by spending a lot of time in the math lab to have explained to me what I should have learned in class. Lots of homework problems that you don't turn in , no extra credit. Very temperamental.

You'll be teaching yourself the material if you want to pass. He blows through things, and doesn't really explain each steps as he goes. He assigns homework but doesn't collect it. He also doesn't take role... which means your grade is exam based. Have test anxiety? RUN FAR AWAY from this class. Not a good prof if you've trouble with mathematics.

Tough class, the teacher goes over the material very fast, does not give extra credit. does not collect homework, and is a tough grader. You will need to work hard, study a lot because grades are based on the exams only.

I have professor Carthew, this class is ideal for high school students. I would not recommend taking this class otherwise. The teacher is nice, but he goes over the material very fast, and misses a lot of steps into doing the math problems. The teacher does not give any extra credit. Would not take him again..

I had him for Math 115 and 125. I didn't consider myself a good math student, but he explains things very simply and helped rebuild my broken 'math' confidence. He gives 3 exams and 1 final, but drops the lowest test grade. No HW collected. If you want to do well in the class FOR SURE DO THE REVIEW BEFORE THE TEST (2x). I will miss him! :'(

Professor carthew is hands down the best and chilled professor I ever took. He actually helps you if you don't understand. His test questions are almost the same as the study guide. Just study those and you should be good. He doest assign annoying online math homework (which is a waste of money) and you barely even need the book. TAKE THIS CLASS!!

Wonderful professor. 4 tests and a final, but he drops one test. Take notes and study, study, study. He usually takes questions after class. Great teacher. Does not collect hw, but I reccomend you do it to because the hw problems are the problmes on the tests. Easy going professor, he's shy, but sweet in his own manner. Highly reccomend him

This professor is very chill and nice, he will help you if you need it. The only problem is that he goes very fast during lectures so you have to keep up and ask many questions! He does drop the lowest test score and hw is optional. If you are good at math, join his class. If not, you better study.

He is a great professor because he drops your lowest score and because he is very clear on his lectures. i have not taken any math classes for 6 years and i was able to understand everything he taught. you do need to study but he gives a study guide and its extremely helpful. i recommend him to anyone who hates math.

He has a very monotone voice and it's easy to daydream or lose focus with how dry the lectures are, but he's a nice guy and tries to explain things the best he can. He moved a bit too quickly through the material for me to take another course with him. I like him as a person but he's not my cup of tea when it comes to a math professor.

I really liked his class. Gives partial credit on test questions. IS VERY HELPFUL after class, VERY patient and teaches very clear. BUT... his lectures are on fast forward. If you can KEEP UP, you will pass his class and tests. He's really nice, but you HAVE TO STUDY the class lectures. Test questions are directly from the book. Go to Tutoring.

Great Professor that wants his students to succeed. He is easy-going and super friendly. Math problem after math problem he really wants to show you how to do them. Will take every question that a student has with no annoyance whatsoever. Exam questions are reviewed before he actually gives out the exam.
