He's a good teacher if you take it seriously and he is always glad to help you understand. He does give (normally) weekly assignments and quizzes (memorable) but be sure to go over the chapters/powerpoints prior to a test. The assignments are rather step-by-step but do require a some level of computer knowledge.

Prof. Chan teaches several INFS courses and I have taken most of them to obtain my degree. He will put you to work, but is always ready to assist in helping you to understand. He works hard to ensure that we are getting what we need from his class. I have learned so much from him. He is an outstanding instructor.

Mr. Chan is an excellent teacher his work is challenging but he takes the time to help you understand it. He is a great teacher and yes he is a bit tough but he's just looking out for your interest. I would recommend his class if you're ready and prepared to learn.

I do not like this professor. He thinks he is some hot shot & doesn't teach the class. He expects a lot out of his students without actually teaching. He will ask you to get out of his classroom and then drop you if you miss more than 3 lectures.
