Comment:

There is no denying that this man is a genius in the world of accounting & finance. He is also a master at explaining some extremely complex concepts and why they matter. While this class material can get very confusing and even frustrating at times, Brett is always approachable and is usually able to clarify things when asked.

Brett is involved at the expected level of the MBA program; he promotes learning of material, but remains observational of the cohort as expected. Great guy, extremely knowledgeable of finance, responds to emails & questions immediately, organized, and on time for class.

I like him on a personal level, he is friendly and down to earth. Now for the bad; class was basically trying to figure out what Brett wants with little focus on learning the material. Not accessible (email, office hours). Resistant to trying to set up learning methods for the material. I learned nothing, unfortunately a waste of a semester.

BH is an awesome person, really knows accounting and if you want to do well let him know that you care. Ask questions, communicate and be honest. He makes you think outside the box if he gets to know you.

Hunkins appears to think that he is better than his students, he says he's always available to help you, but has very few office hours and is always late for meetings. He's not good at giving direct answers to questions and he seems very judgemental.

In all fairness Hunkins is a nice guy, he just tends to come off wrong to some people, but I don't think he has anything but good intentions. He is a bit unorganized and he doesn't respond very quickly to email. He's worth taking and you will do much better if you have an open line of communication with him, he likes to know his students.

Hunkins is the best teacher I have had at Northwood, he will bend over backwards to help any of his students and seems to truly enjoy what he does. He is also moderatly funny, and he is adorable in a nerdy kind of way. He doesn't favor students either, he is willing to help anyone.

Favorite quote of Hunkins: Power Through. He is famous for working through the whole hour (powering through) and getting out a couple minutes earlier instead of getting a break after the first hour. He also adds humor to what can be very cry subjects. I would take his classes over any others at NU.

BH is very knowledgeable of what he is teaching but I had a very difficult time interpreting the information. However, he is more than willing to help out if you ask and he adds a curve to the final grade that helps out a lot. Overall, not a bad teacher and has a good sense of humor!

Helping lower the standard of accounting retention. Freely admits the classes are worthless.Will make up points to give you for passing or to bump grade up a level. favors girls 10x 1 to guys, will take extra time before class to flirt with the women. He made it on time roughly 4 times last semester. take class for blow off and easy grade!
