Dr. Crawford is an awesome discussio leader. All you have to do is sit in one of his office hours to get help with the papers, and you'll get decent grades on your essays. Very easy grader on midterms, and especially with essays!! TAKE HIM!! the class sometimes is boring though.

Dr. Crawford was a really good professor. He made class fun and interesting, but sometimes it seemed like we didn't get that much done. He focused more on the discussion instead of the writing - I liked it, but I know some others didn't. Try to speak up in class and you'll probably do well.

Crawford was such a great teacher. you could tell he enjoyed what he did. he was a very good discussion leader and even made the class funny at times. he could be a little hard when grading essays, but at the same time he's very fair. I would definitely recommend taking class with him!

I worked really hard on my essays, rewrote them multiple times, went to office hours and still got C's. Dont bother putting any thought into your essays, just rephrase what was said in the lectures and you will get the best grade.

Brian is a great discussion leader, the best I had out of all three quarters in this course. He is a very smart guy and is always available to help. Helps you out a lot during offics hours. Great discussions during class. Grades well. Not easy, but he also will not slam you either. Very Fair.

this guy is HORRIBLE. if you get him, RUN. your grade depends on whether he likes you or not. he is so UNBELIEVABLY boring. he thinks he's funny but he's not. makes you feel good about your essay then gives you a freaking C+. i hate him so much.

As long as you use his office hours, and show that you are trying, this will help out your essay grades a lot. To make up for the somewhat low essay grades, he graded pretty easy on the midterm. He also teaches a lot in class, a good thing.

during office hours, he said I had a really good/strong thesis so i stuck with it. when i got my essay back, he gave me a B- under thesis. i totally agree with the person that said he'll make you think you're on your way towards an A but give you a C.

He's a great teacher; I'd recommend him everyone. He chooses a decent amount of important works (5 plays) and teaches them very clearly and understandably. He's a tough grader on essays and expects a lot out of discussion, but that's just how it goes.
