Comment:
Dr. Hagler was fine as a math professor. His lectures are pretty boring, but he covers all that he is supposed to. Lectures are almost always powerpoint. Diff. Equ. is a serious course with a serious professor. You better be solid on your calculus 1 and 2. ALL of it. Hyperbolic sin and cos and inverse trig included. Tests are worth A LOT.

He is a bit difficult to follow sometimes and assumes students should grasp basic concepts when they may not, but Hagler is a very fair grader and makes it worth it if you can stick it out for the semester.

I have never had a problem with math, until this class. He makes class so boring and if you ask a question, sometimes he makes it awkard by laughing and saying look in the book. I absoloutly will never take him again!

He is extremely helpful and made sure that everybody started on the same page with internet testing. In class assignments make attendance vital. Complaints: You never get out early, class gets very boring, and homework is only 10 points, tests are 100. Bad test takers will not make it in his class. - I look forward to his class next semester.

VERY difficult to follow. The material is not taught to the student, it is left for the student to "discover." What a deal; pay for a class that you don't get anything out of except a headache.

There is not doubt that this instructor, like most, knows what HE is talking about. There is a LOT of deciphering that must be done to get a passing grade in his classes. He is helpful if you are fortunate enough to gain some sort of insight into the material. I do not believe that I care for pure mathematics after taking his classes.

At the beginning it was hard to understand him because he talked very softly, but after I move to the front it was ok. He is a very well prepared teacher and knows what he is talking about. Dr. Hagler is difficult but he allows for improvement especially with the internet tests he gives. The harder you work, the better youll do. Unusual individual.

The only problem I have with him is that he speaks ENTIRELY too slow... and there is a lot of awkward silence moments in his class, which makes class seem a tad boring...

Excellent example of a prof for those who have never hd "real world" experience. To succeed in his class, you must read the text, do the homework and attend class! He makes his students work hard. However, working hard creates character and prepares students well for reality.
