Great class and great professor! I was nervous about taking speech but with his laid back and entertaining teaching style the class was fun and non threatening. If you make the effort and follow his instructions it's an easy A!

Very interesting class. Consisted of mostly papers and class participation. Extremely nice professor and is willing to do whatever it takes to help you on papers on his own time. There are no tests in this class which was also a plus. But just to give you a heads up- papers were not easy to write. Grades heavily on grammar and on the content.

This teacher can be somewhat nice (depending on his mood) but he can also be a ruthless cold hearted teacher. In the start of the sem. he was nice but became really bitter. He's not good at separating different situations, such as keeping his personal life hardships out of the class room (believe me, he'll take it out on you).

I loved pop forms of comm until I took his class. He talks so much and he is so boring. He is not open to other peoples ideas. He is a nice guy but I would avoid talking another class with him.

He loved the subject but he was sooo boring. I hated going to class and writing his papers, and if you do take this class, make sure you write about a topic he likes or dont expect a good grade. I dont recommend the class at all!

He makes this class much more difficult than it needs to be. Other sections were doing really fun interesting projects but not his. The quizzes have RANDOM questions, not easy. The paper topics are interesting. Go the day before Thanksgiving, he said it was fine if people didn't come and then gave those who did extra credit.

The quizzes are very random. The averages are always low, because the questions are not covered in lecture or the book. He'll hold "paper workshops" and call it an optional class, but GO. He'll usually give extra points or something. Paper topics are really interesting. He'll help you if you need it.

This class was ok. You write papers an take quizzes. He's a pretty nice guy. It's pretty important to go to class because he letures and the quizes are on his notes.

I took him for public speaking last summer. I think it's fair to say the intire class, including those such as myself who got an A, didn't like him. His complete lack of respect for students was almost unbelievable. He had the attitutde of an angry 2nd grader. I think he's hung up on trying to prove himself as a professor.

Brilliant. Sophist. M. Neumann's old protege (if you remember Neumann). He's great in teaching theory. You'll be lost a bit if you're not doing the reading, but he makes the material jump at you and encourages input from students. Ask for help ~ he'll give it if you're not a slacker. Young ~ but already jaded about society.

Was nice to finally finish this class. Not a huge of public speaking especialy when being evaluated. To do well I would suggest doing a good job on the outlines for the speeches and attending all the classes. There are often particiaption grades and short quizzes, and since this was a night class it was even more importnat to attend. ALso, MAKE SUR

He's really nice and he wants to make the class interesting. He's young so he knows what's boring to students and what isn't. There are a few quizzes, participation assignments, and a few short papers. It was definately the least stressful class of my semester.

He's a nice guy, but he just really doesn't know what he's doing. He doesn't give enough thought to the assignments that he gives and his lectures go in circles. I'm a straight A student and I did get an A, but the class was still a pain in the ass. The text is alright though.
