I have taken several classes with Dr. Foltz. He is a kind person and a passionate philosopher. He is a mediocre professor, however. My biggest problem with Dr. Foltz is his religious impositions (Greek Orthodoxy). He is more interested in conversion than education. His classes are ridiculously easy, to the point of being bad.

Total sluff-off class. Shows up 10-15 minutes late every day, answers his phone in the middle of class, and the most interesting thing he talked about all year is his fondness for Hagen-Dazs. He allows you to bring your computer so I ended up using this class as a glorified study hall. Be prepared not to do anything, but good if you need a break.

Absolutely hilarious. He's one of the smartest people I have ever met, but he's definitely a bird of a different feather. Not like anyone I've ever met. I'm not sure if he's trying to be funny or not- either way everyone laughs. He's always at least 10 minutes late to class.

Brilliant professor, very intelligent! Has a slight bias for teaching eastern orthodox christian views however always very open to intelligent discussion.

He is a charismatic and inspiring man. He is able to make philosophy apealing to both majors and non-majors simultaneously, this is a difficult skill. An extremely interesting professor, you won't want to miss a minute of his lectures. He is very understanding, and more than willing to work individually for any student. You'll love his classes!

he's so laid back, but he knows his stuff and doesn't have a problem w/ asking other experts if he's right. He's hardly around though, so don't expect to see him outside of class very often.

He's definitely a smart guy. Pretty good lecturer. Extremely lazy; you'll be lucky to get a single written assignment back (I didn't get any back, after turning in over a dozen papers). Often comes into class late.
