Comment:
Dr. Myers has a bad reputation, but he honestly is not that bad. Yes, his stuff is hard, but ochem is a hard subject in general. Dr. Zimmerman wrote all our exams and quizzes, which makes the class easier. Dr. Myers is a great teacher and very knowledgeable and willing to help. He even offers to talk on the phone if you can't make office hours.

Tests and quizzes are extremely difficult. No good way to study for them either, as book problems are way too easy in comparison to questions he asks on exams.

Dr. Myers has a bad reputation, far worse that he deserves. He was a great professor but O chem is a hard subject overall so cut the guy some slack. You definitely have to put in the work to make it in o chem. He was very helpful during office hours and he is always willing to explain and help. Very dedicated professor.

I really liked Dr. Myers! Ochem is very challenging, but he does his best to offer help. Every time I went to his office hours I came out with all my questions answered. He tries his best to make class interesting-listen for his jokes! Don't worry if you get him for ochem, he is a good teacher!

i did well in his class but not because of him. very hard to pay attention to, most often talks to the board. the book can save u, use it. be ready for anything on the exams. they try to trick you a lot of the time. dont get behind or u are done.

I think he has a worse reputation than he deserves. I avoided him based on his reputation until this quarter because I was tired of Dr. Celius's powerpoints and Dr. Zimmerman's class filled up. I actually like his class and find his lectures helpful. I would recommend him. He's pretty funny actually too

He enjoys making exams impossible. He uses to least illustrative and most complicated examples possible in class. He smiles with pleasure as he hands out exams knowing that the class average was a 90/150.

Overall decent as far as getting the point across, watch out for his jokes (he slips them in and most dont even realize it), can be somewhat confusing in that he is not very consistent in notation.

Horrible all over the board. Lives life to make difficult exams and seems to get enjoyment when students struggle. Avoid ONU Ochem at all costs. Your GPA and social life will thank you.

Good teacher. Explains things well. Exams are always a suprise, and I don't mean that in a good way. There will always be something on there that you've never seen before.

He's a pretty good teacher, but this is just a hard course. The only thing that bothers me is, he seems to intentionally leave out some little tricks, that way he can use them on exams.

writes amazingly difficult exams. Borderline unfair. Other professor(s) make up for it with easy ones. Overall great guy though. Wants his students to understand organic on a deeper level.
