Honestly would not recommend to take in the summer, the class is extremely rushed and hard to keep up with. None of that is at the fault of the professor, Nagle is a great professor and I plan on taking him again. The tests are very hard, but talking to him and studying a lot helps.

Brian Nagle is one of the best professors at Duquesne! He shows his passion for Accounting like no other, and he genuinely cares for each student. His exams are definitely difficult, but if you practice and understand the material fully then they are much easier to handle.

Comment:

Brian Nagle is the most nice professor I met. His tests were difficult but he would like to help students and encourage them even though got lower scores on the tests. Through his helping, I not only learned a lot in the class, but also did very well on final.

The hardest, but most rewarding class I have ever taken. Nagle is a great guy that is crazy passionate about accounting. He makes accounting relatable and understandable. The tests are extremely challenging and require lots of studying. Accounting majors wills eventually have to take him for intermediate two so you might as well take him for one.

Dr. Nagle's class will be one of the toughest classes you will ever take, however, it's all for good reason. After speaking with him, his end goal is to prepare you for the CPA exam. If you can do well in his class, you'll do well on the CPA. Not to mention he's the only intermediate 2 professor, so you're going to have to go through him.

Great Teacher, You don't want someone who is easy, especially if you want to tale the cap exam someday. This class is very demanding but it is very doable with a good amount of study before the exams. He is very enthusiastic about the material and makes every lecture easy to follow. He always makes the entire class laugh at least once a lecture.

Professor Nagle is an excellent professor and teacher. But he is unbelievably difficult. Unless accounting and finance come natural to you, do not take this professor. The content is easy until you have an exam, in which you must have superior knowledge of the topic. There is NO CURVE. I took a sr. level art class and still did better in that.

I think Professor Nagle is fair and is a solid teacher but his tests are incredibly hard even with much preparation time invested. To his credit he will work with you if you put in the effort. You will learn a lot about accounting but will likely have to work twice as much as most courses to get at least a decent grade. Excellent prep for CPA exam.

Nagle is a really great teacher for a really hard course. He loves what he does and makes it as interesting as possible to learn. I had him for financial, H intermediate I and H intermediate II. In all 3 classes it was obvious that Nagle wants you to succeed. This is a VERY challenging course. But stay focused and you'll be fine :)

I had Dr. Nagle for both Honors Intermediate I & II and I must say he is the best teacher I have ever had. He is the most enerjetic prof you will ever have. His tests are hard but if you pay attention & do the hw then you wont fail. If you are acctg major take him bc he prepares you for the cpa exam! Oh and he raps in Inter. II it is awesome!
