The class was very boring. He goes all over the place and half the stuff on his test he didn't about or he just assumed you would be able to understand it on your own. He also likes to share his political viewpoints which is fine and all just not for the classroom I think. If you can avoid his classes do so! If you miss class your're screwed

If you're looking for a class to slide by in, this isn't it. With that being said, it was also a very interesting class and I came out of it with a lot of knowledge. Going to class isn't mandatory but he often assigns in class activities that you get points for. As long as you study for the exams and show up to class, you should do well.

Hard professor, but a good guy. The class is interesting, but the book you have to read for it is very dull and you have tests on it. If you like geography you should take him. If you just want to float by in a class then look elsewhere.

I real liked this professor, he tries to be as helpful as possible and seems to take an interest in his students, he chooses an old atlas as his only book, which when bought used is $8, he provides everything else.

I hated this class because of the topics. I loved the professor. Class was soo boring and it's hard to bring your grade up. His tests are hard so you need to study even if you attend class regularly. He has in class assignments so go. Not a bad guy, just a bad class.

Class is very easy and powerpoint notes are very helpful. He puts up prior exams on moodle that you are able to do and he will grade them for you. Not extremely helpful if you have a question but he makes the information easy to understand. Tests are easy you just have to put some studying in

I am really surprised by these negative ratings for Brian. However, I have observed as a graduate student that the types of students that disregard everything about him are unmotivated, non-graduate or non-research driven individuals. He is one of the coolest heavy metal guys I have met in academia. Just sayin.

Horrible professor. He singled me out the first day that he saw me and i don't know why. He refused to help me based on my situation. HES JUST OVERALL HORRIBLE. NEVER TAKE HIM!!! He treated me differently from everyone else in a bad way!!

He's honestly not that bad of a teacher. He tries to crack jokes sometimes, they may be a little dry though. Bring your books, especially the atlas, to class every day. There are often in class activities, which you can earn bonus points for by completing more than the regular amount. Therefore, attend class often. Tests are relatively easy.
