This professor is great for those who already have and interest or aptitude for chemistry. For those not so gifted, you might want to avoid him. He has a bit of a temper when it comes to people not understanding the topic. Also, make sure you participate in his little finger game. (not what it sounds like) He is experienced which is great.

He is extremely rude. Students are afraid of asking questions and they have to help each other because they can't count on him (even though it is his job). This is absurd! You can't ask him anything and you end up not having your doubts solved. I hate having to go to this class. It was supposed to be interesting, but we lose interest because of him

I cant think of how to describe him accurately. He is helpful if you approach him and ask, but he is very impatient and does not tolerate stupid questions, even if they are sincere. He does raise his voice a lot and become demeaning but as long as you do the work and show up on time he doesn't bother you.

This "Cowboy of the West" needs to pack in his spurs and his teaching degree. That or teach a higher level of CHEM, who will appreciate him more. He is intelligent, but, just TOO intelligent for a 111 class. Asking a question is almost taboo, and you will feel like an ACME anvil fell on you afterward. Have prior history of CHEM to survive. This man is extremely intellegent. BUT he is one of the worst professors I've ever encountered. He makes you feel dumb when you ask a question, goes way to fast, and put our GRADES ON THE OVERHEAD PROJECTOR FOR EVERYONE IN THE CLASS TO SEE. it was humiliating for many kids. I can't believe it.

To be honest, hated the professor but I have a reason. He uses powerpoint the entire semester and barely uses the board. ,just because there's 15 chapters doesn't mean covering 15 chapters in a semester is smart. You retain nothing, please get another professor.

Very good and intelligent teacher. He scares students but his class is easy if you listen to the lectures and practice the homework problems he gives you. Also skimming through lessons before his lectures can help you get a bit of understanding so you're not lost. I strongly recommend him for chem .. you just have to stay strong and suck it up =P

I thought he was a great professor for the fact alone that he doesn't just give answers to your questions; he makes you figure out the answer and once he explained something, I never was confused again. Although in all honesty, I think he's a bit ****.
