Very frustrating professor. Attendance is mandatory because of case studies, but his "lectures" are pointless. He's always all over the place and it never has anything to do with what's on the exams. If he puts up slides he always covers them up or tells you not to write them down even if it's info you need to know. Just read the book to pass.

This class is not very hard, BUT!!!! It is EXTREMELY BORING! He uses movies that are outdated by like 20 years to teach the class and his GA does all his work. Tests are curved, has pass/fail quizzes that aren't hard. Take it if u need a good grade, but if you want an exciting class, look elsewhere

Do not take this professor! The lectures are boring and never seem to coerce with what will be on the quiz. Mandatory reading the text book. You actually have a chance in passing if you teach yourself from the text book rather than going to his lectures. However, lectures are mandatory b/c of the out of date video cases you watch.. all the time.

Allen looks like Rick Meranus from Honey I Shrunk the Kids, but he's a great teacher. Applies real world to textbook. Daily movies. Ten question quizzes are decent but gives you pass/fail instead of grade. Drop lowest test. Huge curve on all tests. No projects or homework. Read and listen in class and it should be an easy A or B.

Bruce Allen is great. Lecture are always on point, and always finishes like 10-15min early. Quizes (10 M.C.) are pretty random, but he lets you know if there's one coming up soon. Test are pretty decent (70 M.C.) + he uses a nice curve. As long as you read the book, and attend a few lectures, you'll be fine.

Great teacher, very nice and tries to explain things very well & gives many examples so that everyone understands. Tests & quizzes are sooo hard though, NEED to study for them, and don't miss class cuz he Doesn't let you watch the video cases any other time! ...even if you have an excused, legitimate reason for having to miss class.

Lectures are almost unbearably boring! Don't take notes, you won't need them. Read the chapters and make sure you know everything on the concept sheet and you'll be fine. Curves fairly. Quizzes are hard, but open book. No group projects or anything stupid, not a bad class. Is rather arrogant, annoying at times.

Dr. Allen was very helpful. His video cases brought the text concepts to life. Quizzes were difficult. His tests were over lectures, video cases, and the book. He is a very good prof and will assist with any difficulites ie. through email or office hours. Def. take this course with him :)

He is on some sort of a power trip. Going to class is pointless other than you need to be there to view his stupid video cases because they are on the test. I learned nothing from his lectures. Watch out for pop quizes...not easy. Tests are pretty hard but he curves pretty good.

this guy is a jerk! he entertains all the annoying kids in class and concentrates on talking about his boring life, and stupid case studies the entire time. definetly the worst and most inconsiderate prof i have ever had.

This professor could not care less for his students. I came to see him during his office hours and he was rushing me to finish my questions so that he could leave (even though it was his office hours time!)
