Best professor I've ever had! He's a very fun and unique guy which separates him from any other professor and makes class interesting. You can tell he loves teaching Biology every class you attend. Tests are sometimes difficult but if you study you will do just fine!

This guy is the worst professor at CMU. A chauvinist, he's egotistical and has no compassion. Oh you have to miss class because you play a sport - fail. You had a family member pass so you'll be out of town for a few days - fail. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS IF YOU CAN AVOID IT!

Bauerle is not the norm and takes some getting used to. You should literally just write down EVERYTHING he says because he doesn't use powerpoint or anything to follow along with and he doesn't specify what will be on the quizzes or tests and that makes it very difficult to pass! He is very funny, to me anyway, some didn't think so.

Bauerle is so passionate about biology that his class is really interesting, I absolutely never got bored in any of the lectures. He has a unique sense of humor, which a few people might find offensive, but... oh well, he made me laugh!!! I do recommend to record all the lectures because it helps big time! Loved the class!!!!

Inaccurate information. Does not use the book at all. Inappropriate. Terrible teaching skills. Wastes some classes showing pictures of himself. If you have to miss for a valid reason, such as a death in the family, he'll tell you it's not a valid reason. If you get excused, your make up test is an essay question test that is at least 2 hours long.

RUN away if you still can!! This guy is really interesting & I honestly learned a lot, but it's super hard. Be prepared to work VERY hard to pass. He gives you a ton of information to study, but it's difficult to have time to study all of it enough.

Had Baurle for the my general biology lab, he is fun, eccentric and at times crude. But it's a nice change from the mundanity of most of my other classes. Baurle has tons of stories and is a great professor who makes the class interesting. He holds you accountable, so be there, do the work, and you'll do fine!

One of the best Biology teachers on campus. I wouldn't take his survival class because I've you have to eat weird stuff like grasshoppers. His lab class was a blast, got to go on field trips to Bang's Canyon, the Butterfly house, and the river.
