Having a 7:45 AM class was worth it with Dr. Brown teaching. A very compassionate, very genuine professor. He's willing to meet with students who struggle with the material outside of class. However, having studied music for 30+ years, he sometimes has a hard time describing it in simpler terms to the novices. A true gem!

He's so great. Really. His lessons are so easy to understand and, even if you still don't get it, he's more than willing to help before or after class. He's genuinely interested in the lives of his students and is a really funny guy. He can even make 7:45's interesting.

This guy can get a little nutty, but that can actually be a very good thing when you're teaching music theory to freshmen at 7:50 in the morning. He tends to give the same lecture on the importance of being present and on time over and over again, but he only does it because he cares.
