Run from this professor at all costs. I usually dont always agree with ratings on here but this one is 100% accurate. I taught myself everything in the class, not without crying every weekend over the homework. Do whatever you can to take this class when hes not teaching it. Worst case, try to find other lectures you can attend.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST PROFESSOR AT LEHIGH! He doesn't answer any questions during class. A 4 year old can write better than him. He mumbles and doesn't articulate his self at all. He is no help in office hours I spent 10 minutes trying to explain something to him that should have taken 1 minute. Avoid at all cost!

Absolutely horrific. Worst teacher I have had in my entire life. The only reason he is still here is because of tenure. If there is one good thing about him, it is that he makes easy tests. So try and take the class during a semester when he makes the tests, but try to get any teacher BUT HIM. You won't learn in his class.

He is the worst teacher I have had a Lehigh. I went to class for the first two weeks but then after that I didn't go again. I still got a B+ in the class so the tests he makes up aren't that hard.

Professor Dodson is an awful teacher. During lecture, I spend more time trying to decipher both his speech and writing on the board than I actually spend on taking notes. To pass this class you will have to teach yourself entirely at home.

When I had him freshman year, 2010, he was so bad that I attended another professor's lectures. I got an A in the class but I did not learn anything from him. The other professor's section got much higher average grades on all exams compared to Dodson's sections. Avoid him, or have a backup plan.

He's pretty hard to follow, his handwriting is unreadable, and he's not great at answering questions. If you've already gone over the material before class you can actually get something out of the lecture, but its still not terribly useful. Be prepared to teach yourself through the book.

Dodson is a terrible teacher. His handwriting is horrendous and he moves all over the board when he writes so you can't even follow to take notes. He says "ummm" before and after everything he says, so trying to listen to him is just a headache. Everyone seems to know he is a bad teacher so I'm wondering why he's even still around.

Second exam average was a 60. He decided not to curve it and he was all smiles when he delivered this information. The class isn't too hard but he only teaches theory, no practical application. He was counted in saying um around 300 times in a 50 minute class period. All the exams are the same for the course but take a different teacher.
