Talks at you. only lecture. Checks annotations and tells you they're wrong. Reading is essential. Papers are crazy long. Super hard grader. Taught like a philosophy class and graded like an english class. Expects way too much from students.

Professor Fox is nice but he takes QU 101 too seriously. Even the best writers can't get higher than a B on his papers. He is very lenient with due dates which is nice but overall I wouldn't recommend.

he expects a lot from his students and can be really mean if you ask him a question that he already answered he'll give you more work than your actual major his expectations are too high and it's not an enjoyable class avoid if you can...

Professor Fox is arguably one of the nicest professors. Although his grading is tough, a good grade is achievable with the help of the learning commons. You should make appointments with him prior to handing in essays. I learned a lot in his class, he truly cares about what he teaches. He chooses on random people to talk , and checks attendance

a genuinely good person. he gives a lot of reading and writing but the papers arent hard and he lets you edit them. he understands if you give something in late and usually doesnt take off points. class is pretty boring sometimes but not much work besides the writing.

This guys truly cares about LIFE. He has a heart for his students and wants them to do well. He genuinely cares for the country as a whole and loves what he does, he is an all around amazing professor. You definitely have to work in this class to do well, it doesn't come TOO easy. There is a lot of expected reading/writing. I would recommend him!

He's a really nice guy, but the class got pretty boring over the semester and he graded hard. He would lower my grades on papers because of punctuation, which wasn't really fair because this isn't an English class, I'm not an English major and obviously not very good at English. You can do well if you really want to work hard in your QU101 class..

He's a good guy at heart. He is somewhat conservative in politics, but he is very open for a guy his age. He's a tough grader, but it only made my writing better. Do your work and participate and you should be all set.

Overall did not have a good experience with this class. There was too much work and it was difficult. Gave a lot more work than other QU101 professors did. He is also a really tough grader. Class was boring sometimes but most times it wasn't. He does know how to spur an interesting class discussion though. He's a good guy but I don't recommend him.

Great teacher, spirited and gets students interested in the topics. Tells students all the exact material which is to be on the test and assigns quizzes that are easy 100's. There is one position paper, 1,500 words which is easy and he is flexible with the topic. HIGHLY recommend one of my favorite, old-school teachers here.

Overall a great professor. Very passionate and fairly open minded about history. However, was condescending at times, pressuring us to vote or reprimanding us for not reading, just because no one felt like volunteering an answer. There is a lot of reading and you will do okay in the class if you keep up with it and pay attention.

As much as I love history, this clas was painful to sit through. SO BORING! A lot of reading & very particular on quizzes & tests; he NITPICKS! I suggest him if you have no other choice. Very conservative in the way he teaches, so keep your liberal views to yourself! I will say he is very passionate about history & this country! Go U.S.A.!

Love his lectures because he tells them like stories. You MUST read if you want to do good on the tests because he is a very TOUGH grader. Must be thorough on detail on tests and quizzes. Uses all three textbooks, which I didn't like. But good professor...btw you MUST be registered to vote.

Nice guy but class is extremely hard. Almost weekly quizes and he wants a lot of specifics on tests. Even though its a level 100 course he expects level 300 or 400 work. His lectures tend to be boring as well because he talks for an hr and 15 min straight.

He's a very knowledgable teacher, easy to take notes off, if you keep up with readings, you'll get a good grade. 3 tests, almost weekly quizzes (very easy if you've read) If you go to him for help before a test, you'll do much better.

Very nice and passionate man, but EXTREMELY boring. Reads directly from textbook, a lot of reading for the class, tells you what is on the quiz but the quizzes and tests are still hard. One position paper in the class and rest are written tests

Probably THE worst professor I've had at Quinnipiac thus far. Extremely boring, way too much reading, and his tests are ridiculous. Politically speaking, he's extremely one-sided and doesn't really take opinions into consideration. AVOID TAKING IF YOU CAN! You'll save yourself a huge headache.

This man is very nice, and very passionate about the subject. He is always interested to hear what people think, and just wants people to have some sort of understanding of history because he cares so much about it. just read, listen in class, and have notes to use during the quizzes and tests and you're almost guarenteed an A. i recommend
