MUST WRITE TO HIS OPINION...he's very liberal and I'm definitely not but I got 95s and 100s on everything because I went along with his views. He's super cute (75 yr old grandpa) and is very clear about what he wants to see in papers.

Horrible Socialist. Write to what he believes about controversial topics & defend it using the readings he hands out & you'll be fine. Don't voice a differing opinion - fail. High expectations of students doing the readings before class, always has a quiz. Not worth all the effort & frustration.

Great guy,keeps the class awake. A lot of extra reading, I feel like he thinks his class is the only one you have sometimes. Have to write 4 out of 6 3 - 5 page papers and one 10 Page. Other than that very easy. But he is liberal like most Gen Ed teachers and tries to push his views, suggest being liberal or faking it for a good grade.

Funny old guy. Don't be afraid to say what's on your mind and argue with him. Nice guy, easy course. Have to write 4 3-5 page papers throughout the semester and a 10 page final paper. Definitely not as bad as it seems.

Very nice guy but really pushes his views on the students. Speaking against him in class or in papers definitely lowers your grade. A lot of reading and writing, sometimes too much. Topics are interesting but if you take a lot of hard classes already, definitely don't take this one.

A lot of readings to do and 4 three page papers plus final 10 page paper. the three page papers don't take long though and his style is easy to write to. if you dont mind writing what he wants to hear to get a better grade then it will make things easier on you

ridiculous amount of work for an expos class. he makes you write 4 3 page papers and a 10 pg paper along with reading two books and packets for every class. stay away as he favors the better writers. You will consistently get the same grade regardless of how well you write. If your fist paper is good, all your papers will get the same grade.

DO NOT TAKE. He gives opinions in class which I think are wrong and refuses to think he is right. He plays favorites to the ones who can write pretty well. ALOT OF WORK (Just saying, he says he is related to someone who is in a famous band.)

I am your savior here to tell you not to take this class. Do not do it to yourself. That should be all that is necessary for you to know better, but if you take this class anyway- I want you to remember you read this post a few weeks into the class when you realize what kind of mistake you made.

Lots of work. Essays are annoying, and an ongoing research paper thing was annoying, but easier than i initially thought. I got a 3.7, and I did all the work and met with him once or twice (always willing to help). Grades hard on the first paper (I got a 70) but I think thats only so he can make himself seem like a hardass. But grades easier later.

i agree with the comments below. He does make really inappropriate comments and sees nothing wrong with it. However, his class is really easy. There is a reading or two every class but they are not that bad and occasionally an in class writing. Have to write 4/6 papers and one research paper. He grades really easy but easier if you agree with him

to put it simply this professor sucks. he makes racial and politcal comments and respects no ones opinions unless you agree with his own. if you disagree with any of his viewpoints, he marks it as wrong. comments on work are not helpfull at all. this teacher has no respect for anyone but himself. do not take this class.

Easy Grader! Lots of work. You have to do a first draft and final copy for every paper. We had to do 3 of 5 papers, plus a 10 page research paper. Regular Reading for HW. Got a 4.0 but worked alot of hours to get it.

I hated this class. Even though I did well, he gave so much unnecessary work for this class. You had quizzes on the reading you had to do for hw and you had an essay due every week. Some of the comments he makes in class sometimes are **** and seem harsh. Don't take him.

And you must be the monopoly guy. Do not pass go, do not collect 200 DOLLARS!!! ...sucks, would not recommend even though i got a 4.0 in EXP201 with him...reading quizzes every class and a 6 wk period in middle of semester of essays due each Friday...BOTTOM LINE: there are easier profs for this course.

Avoid if you can. So much work/writing, either a paper or draft due every week plus 2 readings per class. Not that easy of a grader and the classes are horrible, some of the things he says are awful. :(
