He was experiencing health issues which led to some cancelled classes and he rambles, but I really liked him. Take his class if you like discussion and are a good writer. If you can't write, don't. He cares more about knowledge than grades and really wants you to learn something. Very few assignments! Just reading and a few papers!

great teacher who got an unlucky batch of lousy students. Maybe the dicussions could of gone somewhere but only a handful of kids did the reading, the rest of the kids sat in the back, did nothing, didnt pay attention, and then were mad when they got bad grades. Great teacher and I would love to take a another class from him.

I hated this class. It was so boring!!!! Your grade is based off of 2 PAPERS! 2 PAPERS!!! THAT IS IT! He allows you to do revisions, but if his TA grades it, it's not helpful at all.(I don't know how he revises papers) You will get a crap grade and he doesn't tell you how to make it better.

Loved him. He is a tough grader, but he just wants you to try (he even allows you to do rewrites on papers). He is extremely helpful and easy to get in touch with.

Professor Landesman is very knowledgeable. However, too much of the class was alotted to undergrad students arguing about what they didn't fully understand. The class would have been more understandable if the professor spoke more than the students. You onlt have to write two papers for the class, but they are not easy; if you want the grade.

My favorite professor ever. He's a lot of fun, even if he might seems a little absent-minded. He's very helpful if you approach him and use his office hours. Last I checked, he also ran the Honors scheme in philosophy, and was prominent in Phi Beta Kappa.

This class had mind-expanding topics. My TA was Meg Bowman, and she was great at helping you understand. The hardest thing about this class is writing papers. No tests.
