If your an english major or love to read take him. If you have other classes (hard classes at that) that youre trying to focus on then dont take him. Had tons of stuff to read just for him to say "no quiz today". some weeks we would have quizzes others we dont but he wouldnt warn us. Also stayed loosing/uploading wrong grades.

He is a really excellent professor. There are daily quizzes but if you read SparkNotes or Shmoop then you will be fine. We had great class discussions and he is very funny.

There is a lot of reading, but most people survive off of Sparknotes. There are daily quizzes, but they are usually about the characters, basically who did what. Very opinionated, and entertaining. While be is bold, and has a... colorful... vocabulary, he is still respectful of his students.

There are no quizzes or tests. Only essays and a group project. He gets upset if you dont answer his questions (even if they are not from the reading and he just assumes you know it) and will just stand there. He gives no help whatsoever on the essays and lectures about things youre doing nothing with. Easy if youre good at english but frustrating.

We are required to do a few group projects and even a group essay. I didn't really know what to expect with everything but it's a pretty decent class. If you aren't a naturally good writer, go to the writing center because he gives little to no feedback. He does give a grading criteria sheet. No tests, just essays. He doesn't grade homework.

Dr. Magee is absolutely awful. He assigns ridiculous amounts of reading & frequently gives quizzes on the readings. He goes over the material AFTER he has tested you on it. He doesn't do PowerPoints; just long lectures that are difficult to keep up with. All I can say for him is that he has a great sense of humor. I dropped his class.

This is the easiest class I have ever taken!! We did not take a single test the whole quarter or read anything. You only write about 3 or 4 papers & they are very easy to write! He kind of grades hard but not too bad! The whole time you work with a group on some website & you get a 100. He also would let us leave like a hour before class was over!

Dr. Magee is a great professor. He knows the material and thoroughly enjoys teaching students about it. He's very understanding if you have a good reason for not turning in a paper on time and he's an easy grader. SO MUCH READING. He often goes WAY off topic making some lectures awkward. Take him if you need easy credit hours. If not, stay away.

Ok so here's the rundown: there is a quiz on the reading literally every class. It's a lot of reading and you won't pass the 10 Q quizzes without reading. like me. There is one really easy test with 4 essay questions that he grades easily and.... wiat for it... a 10 page paper due at the end with 10 sources. Read, study for test, do paper. A.

This man makes you read a lot, sparknotes works fine. Grades papers really easy. Drops lowest quiz grade. No test, just one essay exam and one research paper and daily quizzes. He doesn't grade hard at all. You don't have to pay attention in class. He teaches you about stuff after you take the quiz on it. Easy A if you read the material.

Great teacher, very fun, hilarious, and easy going. You have to go to class but he never keeps you for the whole 2 hours. The papers are pretty simple and he doesn't grade that hard, just based on grammar mostly. I would definitely take him again.

All in all this was a really easy class. Dr. Magee is pretty eccentric to say the least. I did the entire class without a textbook, and he eagerly answered any questions I had and even pointed me in the direction of websites that hosted required readings for free. You won't be handed an A, but with any semblance of effort you will do well.

He does not care if you stay if you leave. He is always at least 5 minutes late. He talks about his personal life in the middle of class. He teaches at Louisiana Tech but carries a LSU mug. He talks a lot about his personal life. Please do not take him. He makes u read a lot of materials and only ask 10 on the quiz. He loves to hear himself talk.
