Excellent teacher. I took a bunch of his classes and enjoyed every one. He wants everyone to do well and is willing to help and give ideas if needed. He takes time to answer questions and explain things. He also loves to hear other opinions and discuss different angles and perspectives.

Awesome instructor & extremely willing to slow the class down for a greater understanding. He makes the time to meet with anyone willing for help. His tests are typically 5-12 vocab. matching followed by 1-3 essays discussing the literature. As long as you utilize the vocab. in the essays you'll get a good grade. Great Guy! Highly Recommended!

Regardless of what others have said Bruce Need is pretty good. Yes he is dry and bland, but he is a good teacher and usually is helpful. He is very educated and knows his field well. Intimidating ? Nah. I walked away with a B pretty easilly considering

Had him for Eng 101 over a year ago, and taught this basic class fairly well. Hes understanding if you miss an assignment and gets back to you quickly. Im unsure if I'd want him for 102 though, but I enjoyed his 101 class. Has a very dry brand of humor, but pretty funny and intelligent man.

Horrible teacher, very monotone and loves to scare his students. He talks his class up like it is very hard, to scare you. He enjoys just staring at his students to make them feel intimidated and he is only willing to hear his story not anyone elses. Drop this class and take English with R Starmer
