You should be ready to work on your own (a business plan + presentation required). There was at least one short task to do every week and two exams (a lot to write- theory and problems to solve at hand). The book was a must but not so good as I expected. An interesting course, however sometimes it was difficult to follow the teacher's thought.

Sherony is quite possibly the best teacher at NMU, at least in the college of business. I highly suggest taking as many classes with him as possible. As long as you can make it to class regularly, you will do well enough.

Super nice guy, would do anything to make sure kids understand what he is saying. All assignments deal directly with the lecture in class. Exams are directly from notes. I would definatly recommend him.

He is an ok guy but really boring. maybe i am a sucker for punishment but i think he has taken advertising which is supposed to be a pretty interesting but tough class and dumbed it down and made it boring. Assignments are uninteresting busywork that don't teach you anything but the art of BS.

Took Sherony three times. Homework is assigned on Wed and due on Mon. Use headings and make clear, one-two pages. Attendance is important. Go to class, write down all his notes from the board. The midterm and final (only tests) will be 6-8 essays from his notes. Repeat word for word. Easy.

This is the best class offered at NMU. You get hands-on learning experience within the business field. No tests. No books required. You basically consult a business on what to do with their problem. Sherony is so great too! He's the favorite!
