If you take a class with Bruno, be prepared to read a ton, and study hard. He is at a much higher level than most students and can get frustrated if you struggle to get the material. He can't make difficult material easy for you, you have to be able to pick up what he puts down. But if you can pull it off, it is worth it; he's not bad, just tough.

Everything here was very true back of him back in the 90s. I STILL get nightmares about him. No clue if he teaches still. Basically he's a Ted Kaczynski type, a brilliant man with no people skills. I had to take 5 of his classes and he always made them tougher than they should be. Treated students like the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld. Horrible Prof.

I don't think he is a bad person, I just think the course he is teaching is one of the most convoluted, ridiculous, insane ways to teach a course. I've never dealt with such an insane course. This Discrete Math course is totally abstract compared to resources found elsewhere. Sometimes wonder if suny poly made it up. He seems nice in emails

Bruno is Bruno! He stumbles and rambles with english, but he knows programming and he does teach, but you better be ready to work. He doesn't sugar coat it, and he is VERY intolerant of stupidity and slacking. He is the best in preparing you for a job in programming and the IT world, there is no office hours or BS in the real world.

This is one of the worst SUNY IT has right here. Avoid this guy at all costs. Does not answer his office phone, read email, or show up for his office hours. Grading is never consistent and you spend 90 percent of your time installing software that you'll never use. This guy is terrible, avoid at all costs, take only if you have to.

How can this man be allowed to continue teaching at a school that's somewhat trying to create a decent image for itself in the SUNY system? Bruno is the WORST teacher, simply put - and students are willing to admit that in front of other teachers. Arrogant, hard/long assignments,throws a packet of notes at you and expects you to figurethe rest out.

One of my favorite CS professors. He teaches at a reasonable level using theory, research, and modern software. Be prepared to install a TON of software on your home PC (I think this is painful for a lot of students). Don't be lazy and try before asking questions, otherwise he won't tolerate you. You get used to the accent after a few classes.

Basically, he is not tolerant of stupidity. Since he teaches programming mostly, given today's crop of CS students, he is prickly towards a lot of them. If you can program and/or have the desire to learn how, he's one of the best they've got. Don't expect to slide on by his class(es), that will end badly for you.

If you have no interest in programming get out of the class but if you already have a slight understanding of what you are doing you will be golden. He moves at a decent pace to keep you interested and his lessons are filled with factual useful information. Don't listen to the bad reviews Bruno, you move quick and I like that.
