Hendricks might still come through for me. All you have to do for the term is a 300 word journal entry for each film and then a final media project or ESSAY. His TA marks them, so I don't know about that. Anyways, he's a chill guy and I think that he means well. He seems to have alot of other stuff going on in his life at the moment

I really liked the films discussed, and the insights provided re: American mythology, etc. This course is dead easy-- the easiest uni course I've ever taken-- sometimes it seemed almost laughable.

Doesn't teach at all. I learned nothing about Writing in this class. He's a kind person, but LITERALLY didn't do anything at all. This class is good for use as an elective only, otherwise it's an extreme waste of time and money.

Had Hendricks for 2 courses, actually. He's very nice, and he's a pretty good prof. My response papers went against what he said much of the time, but he still gave me aces on everything (which never would've happened in other classes, with more egotistical profs). So he's true to the democratic ideas of education--and he OWNS mythology.

The greatest professor that ever lived. He is as such because he spends all class explaining why he's not the greatest professor who ever lived. I love this man. If there was a Hendricks university, I would attend. If there was a Hendricks ice cream, I would eat it. If Hendricks was a nation, I would run for president. I'd call it Hendricksia.

Reads in every class. About half-way through the semester someone put there hand up and asked, by the way, what's a storyboard? Provided zero input about how to do the assignments. Changed the final deadline ahead 3 weeks - and gave 1 week notice. Lazy.

Really laid back and interesting guy. Gives you all the freedom in the world with your projects. You don't even need to class most of the time, he says he's just there to help you with your projects. Best class i've ever taken, especially if you want your creativety to flow freely.

The course was what I expected: watching a bunch of weird-a.ss films. Hendricks does have a few insightful thoughts, but due to his academic philosophy, does not believe in actually teaching them. Not that this surprised me and I was rather grateful for the snooze time after a long day of school.

he's a really funny guy, with lots to say every class. He gives us a lot of freedom in class in regards to papers, which is good. I like his class, but i wish he would sometimes lecture more on the course material then telling us about his life. lol. still he's a great prof!

Not a worthless bloke at all. Who gave this guy "carte blanch" (sp) to teach this course? Well, the Department of Russian Studies did; I'm just guessing, but maybe they're more qualified to judge him than a testy, prima donna undergrad. Sure, Hendricks has some flaws, but it's far from being a terrible course. Enjoy the Hendricks Experience.
