Very funny, very cool guy. Lecture is a bit boring but he puts all the notes online in case you miss a class or just didn't pay attention. Tests are a little bit challenging so you really have to do the reading/study the notes. Take Turley!

As a hilarious sense of humor. Always plays music before starting the class. This class is lecture based, but he usually puts the notes up on the computer screen. He also puts the notes online so that if you missed a class, it's easy to get them. There are very few tests, but make sure you do the reading. He makes the class interesting.

RECOMEND! He gets not everyone is super religious & uses anecdotes to keep class entertaining but still teaching. Gives fill-in-the-blank lecture notes & the exams are straight from what he gives you, anything you read in the textbook is only to reinforce material. Doesn't take attendance, sometimes lets you out early, 1 term paper, shows movies.

He is a funny guy, but does a very good job of balancing that with what the point of his lectures are. For how philosophical class discussions can be, the tests are very dry and simple. Cancels class a couple of times only to my disappointment.... ok well not THAT disappointing

Great guy! Helpful, understanding, and his lectures are often funny and usually at least interesting. Had some great discussions in this class. What's more, tests and quizzes are easy, and only one out-of-class assignment (4-5 page paper on a book). Definitely take!

The lectures were good. But the discussion questions he raised and little points he makes on the side are great and really interesting. Prof. Turley is very friendly and smart. Sometimes funny. Tests are not to hard but you have to study notes. Reading assigned chapters and articles helped a lot. I'd definitely reccommend his class.

Took both 112/102 with Bryan and enjoyed them. Never really interested in religion until I took his class. Great guy. He is very insightfuly, friendly, and approachable. Yes, his lectures can be boring at times, but his tests are easy and there is only one paper to do in the class. Highly recommended, especially his New Testament class.

The class is primarly lecture but Turley encourages his students to make comments and hands out outlines/notes so that you can easily follow him. In addition to this, he's cool as hell and his quizzes/tests are easy if you study the notes (which he provides for you.) There's no reason why anyone shouldn't make an A in his class. Take him!

I liked this class on some days. Lots of lectures, every day except three and two of those were our exams. he jokes a lot but theyre not always funny and he loves his little bot, which i think is good. im going through his class again so I must have liked it...

Lectures, every class is a lecture. Had a horrid reading load from him. talks about his kid A LOT. Gives out outlines though so lectures are pretty easy to follow.
