Comment:
This was by far the toughest class I've taken in my undergrad, but I'd honestly say it has had a big impact on the way I think. Do not take this course with Eaton if you are looking for an easy A, but If you want to get a really good foundation for the study of game theory this is the class for you. Go to the lectures and practice the questions!

If you like listening to someone ramble about nonsense and use the word "um" so often that it's distracting, take a class with Eaton. The guy cant even end his lectures on time, always goes late. He's truly an astonishingly horrible prof, thank god the class was pretty easy cause the man was about as much help as a stick in the eye. Worst prof ever

Eaton is a lazy professor. Refused to give back marks that were wrongfully taken away on midterm. Refused to put up answers to practice questions or exams so you had no idea if you were doing the questions correctly. Hardly finishes covering lecture notes every class. Lectures in which the TA taught were far superior. Material for the class is easy

Eaton clearly didn't care about the students in my class. Absent from over 5 lectures, got his TA to teach when he wasn't there (not good enough) and spent over half of the time in lectures rambling about the game we were studying. He didn't post any answers to practice questions before the quizzes so you didn't know if you were right or not. AVOID

The man rambles more than he lectures. Sure hes an interesting fellow with a genuine personality, but I swear he talks about the most useless topics sometimes. Weekly quizzes (Friday). Practice questions that have no answers posted. Attending class is highly optional, I'd recommend just reading the notes he posts on D2L. Easy B+

Good prof overall. Makes game theory interesting. Don't need the text book for his class and you need to study hard for the final. The midterm and quizzes are really easy but the final was quite tough.

Great professor, really interesting lectures. Quizzes are pretty easy if you do the weekly assignments. Posts great notes if you happen to miss a class, or you want to read before class. All you could ask from a prof. Resources are limited as far as questions, but he's always available for questions.

Great professor and great class. He really challenges his students but not in an impossible way. I am not an Econ major but I thoroughly enjoyed this class and definitely reccomend people take it! Attending class definitely helps reinforce concepts but is not mandatory. Exams are tough but doable with studying!

Best prof I ever had. Makes game theory come alive. You have to work hard, but it is worth it. Lecture notes are provided prior to each class, so you spend your time in class actually discussing the materials instead of scrambling to write notes. My most recommended class.

Dr. Eaton I thought was an okay professor. He really wanted his students to do well. Gave hints to what to expect on exams. Can be a tad boring and attendance is not mandatory if you read the textbook and the handout he gives. Quizzes and final were easy given you study his handouts.

Great person and a genius. However, his textbook ( Osbourne's intro to game theory ) is horrible. Nevertheless, he is committed to his students and is always willing to help. He even took my class to the faculty lounge for drinks after our last class !

He is a genious at what he does but that doesn't translate to being good at teaching. If you don't like his book it is probably because it is too advanced for you to understand.
