The first English class I've actually learned something from in a long time! There is a lot of busy work though, but the only real grades in the class are the journals (due at midterm and end of semester) and the papers, which you get plenty of time to work on. I would highly recommend her.

She's not that difficult. Just writing journals that were a pain in the butt and reading stories. But these things helped to write successful papers, and I would know I got A's on every paper. She is very helpful.

So much busy work...and she would not come to class and expect u to do all sorts of work that she never collects...felt like I was doing so much more work then was needed...you have like two one page papers a night and reading...not at all intersting but is a nice lady

A lot of busy work like journals for each week and too much over-analyzing of works. However, most of the books we read were really interesting. Sitting in a circle and having student lead discussions each week made class more interesting. She is really helpful and pretty easy. I would definitely take her again, really nice professor, smart too!

She's a good teacher. She says she doesn't believe in busy work, yet most of the class is busy work. Participate in class and do your work on time (which is not hard even if you put in minimal effort) and she will like you. Ask questions when you don't understand and she's willing to help.

This class was not really taught, she gave assignments and graded papers while we did group-led discussions in class. I was very disappointed at the low expectations for this class. Enjoyed materials but not instruction.
