Comment:
Professor Hausman's class was extremely lecture heavy, but showing up and taking notes is very important, since a large part of your grade is based off of the midterm and final grades. At times the course felt off track and turned more into a history and geography class rather than an intro to journalism class.

Hausman is absolutely awesome! During the semester he assigns two essays, one midterm and one final. He shows three movies, assigns current events about once a week and does lectures about radio, TV and film. He has a goofy sense of humor so be ready for corny jokes. I would highly recommend him for anyone taking journalism courses.

The class is an easy A but you have to show up and pay attention. You're graded on the midterm, final, and two papers. The two papers are easy A's but study hard for the midterm and final because they are challenging if you haven't studied. He always says what will be on the tests. He's engaging and makes the content easily understood.

Hausman is a easy grader. He loves his students and as long as you pay attention you will pass his class. The first paper is easier than the second paper but you will not fail the lowest grade would be a C.

Great professor. The whole semester you have two papers, a mid-term and a final. Make sure you study for the mid-term and final, because as long as you know what you're talking about you will get an A on those. Also, for the papers interview source that has published work, you will get an automatic A for the source alone. But take him, he's cool.

Hausman lives up to the hype. There's a reason why he's so beloved on campus. He's a prestigious guy and runs a great class. Fair amount of work, 2 papers, test and midterm. He is also hilarious with his weird sense of humor, so get ready to learn and be entertained simultaneously. Well worth it to take as an elective

Pay attention and read the material he assigns. You will be phenomenal in his class. There is a midterm and final, which are not hard as long as you haven't skipped numerous classes. There are also two papers which are easy to accomplish. His lectures are full of useful information as well as a few jokes. If you have questions, talk to him.

I loved this class. You just have to pay attention and show up. If you don't show up your grade will suffer, plus he always gives out test answers so it's beneficial if you go. 2 papers, a midterm, and final. It's honestly so easy if you just study and he's a fairly easy grader for the papers. And he's really funny if you ask me. He's cool

He's a great professor. Pay attention to his lectures and you'll pass no problem. He assigns two papers, both of which require a lot of research, but are fairly easy. He tells you exactly what's on both tests. Just show up, read the book occasionally, and pay attention and you'll have no problem passing. Really funny and knowledgable guy.

This class was challenging. Current events once a week and two papers which require interviews. But he is really helpful. He does everything he can to help you. He gives out detailed study guides before every test and explains everything. We watched a lot of movies. He's also an easy grader. You MUST read the current events! I would take him again.

took him for JPP, i enjoyed the class. a lot of people on here are saying he's boring, i wouldn't say that. he's not the most exciting professor, but he cracks jokes and knows what he's talking about. I would recommend him.

Not really an easy class, theres a lot of work, but not a burden and everything is well organized and interesting. The professor is willing to help you out if you ask. Papers require a lot of research and and interview.

He is extremely knowledgeable of his subject but his class is unbearably boring. Two papers one is 4 pages the other 6 and you need to interview someone for both. Two exams that you will get at least a B on if you study very hard because they are difficult but he grades easy if you put down knowledgable answers.

He is so boring. I was so excited to have Journalism because that is my major and my passion but he is so boring I could barely stay awake in his class. Recommend staying away from him if possible. Annoying guy.

Repeats himself a lot. He wrote the textbook so he repeats book material as well. Aside from that, he's a good professor who knows what he's talking about. He's also possibly the most interesting man in the world. Only two papers, both require interviews, and a midterm and final. And go to class because he randomly gives out test answers.

On the surface this looks to be a difficult class. Only 2 tests and 2 papers. However, the papers are easy (just a lot research) and he literally tells you what will be the midterm and final. I paid attention to the lectures and got A's on both tests. He repeats himself although and he can be a bit smug about himself.

Everyone at Rowan always makes a big deal about Professor Hausman. I thought he was kind of overrated. He knows his subject well, but his class was boring as hell and half the reason I decided to switch out of my journalism major. Papers are easy, but the midterm and final are quite difficult. Pay attention to the movies he shows.
