She's a little disorganized, and sometimes ran a few minutes over, but she makes up for it by making sure the material is clear as well as being extremely helpful if you don't understand. I plan on taking a class with her again.

I would recommend taking all of the classes that this professor teaches. Some of them are difficult particularly language and literature but she is a fair grader and with work you will do fine. I left Eastern thankful for my time in her courses, and enjoyed my time in Germany more due to what I have learned in her courses.

Damiano is a really great prof, but you have to put forth the effort to get a good grade. All that means is simply doing the work, practicing on your own, and coming to class. I felt pretty confident (maybe a bit over-confident) in my German skills after taking this class with her.

AWESOME professor. She is paired with an equally awesome professor in this class. Their dynamic is awesome. She makes lectures extremely interesting and is very knowledgeable. The exams are pretty easy as long as you come to class.

Comment:
Many people take the first 2 years of a foreign language at a community college. Usually that is best, since you save a lot. However, having a very skilled professor such as Prof Damiano at the beginning of your German study is worth its weight in gold. I know a great language teacher when I see one and she is one. A tough language made clear.

Great professor! If you want to learn take Damiano - if you're looking for an easy A, go away. You will work, but she will also work with you. Can be a bit unorganized, but her knowledge of the language compensates for everything. My favorite professor at EMU! Ohne Deutsch, ohne Spass!
